Depends on the circumstance on how the flute came to be. A has a good argument for it, because if you can't do anything with it you don't fucking need it. But B is a good point too, after all if it's the fruits of her labor and she wants it over some compensation equal to the flute.


So I would have to go with B because of the interest in the flute, but for a society as a whole you can't exactly run well if what people specialize in aren't what they are getting imo.


Maybe teach girl A how to build the flute or buy her one/teach her how to get money to buy her own if she wants it so much
