When did Tether started propping up Bitcoin price?

It didn't, that's just the narrative within arms reach that you use to cope with.

I'm not interested into buying Bitcoin, just like I'm not interested into playing roulette.

But I would like to know more about this space.

You seem emotionally invested though, could you answer my question?

>propping up Bitcoin price
i don't get how people fell for that. in 2017 it fucked me hard, i could have tethered more than a million dollars but i didn't trust the big bad tether scheme. after figuring out how it all works, i hate myself for not putting in the time earlier. if you're new: don't fall for the tether fud. i don't know where it comes from or why people would spread it, but it may not be with bad intentions, maybe just people that don't understand how tether works and think it's not legit

tether didnt start by propping it up... it pumped it up. I forget what caused the first bullrun of 2014, I think it was shown to be wash trading on MtGox. Then that collapsed and bitcoin crashed cuz the price relies on constant new money coming in to balance miner selling.

Then tether fucking PAAAAMPED it up to 20k.

The point is, it didnt start "propping up" the bitcoin price. It made the price high in the first place, and now it props it up.
