So... you think you're untouchable?"

[Hook: John Cena]
Word life! This is basic thugonomics
This is ba-basic thugomoics
Word life! {*scratching*}
"I'm untouchable, but I'm forcin you to feel me" - Esoteric
Word life! This is bas-{*scratch*}
Basic thugo-{*scratch*}-thugo-{*scratch*}-thugonomics
Word life! {*scratching*}
"I'm untouchable, but I'm forcin you to feel me" - Esoteric

[Verse One: John Cena]
Whether fightin, or spittin, my discipline is unforgiven
Got you backin up, in a defensive position
An ass-kickin anthem, heavyweight or bantam
Holdin camps for ransom, the microphone phantom
Teams hit the floor, this the new fight joint
Like a broken needle kid, you missin the point!
We dominate your conference with offense that's no nonsense
My theme song hits, get your reinforcements!
We strike quick with hard kicks, duckin night sticks
Bare-knuckle men through fight pits, beat you lifeless
Never survive this! Get forget like Alzheimer's
Two-face rappers, walk away with four shiners
The raw rhymer, turnin legends to old-timers
My incisor's like a viper, bitin through your one-liners!
New Deadman Inc. - and we about to make you famous
Takin over Earth and still kickin' in Uranus!

[Hook]

[Verse Two: Trademarc]
You ain't advanced enough to process potential phonetical concepts
The objects are foreign, like Loch Ness
Sponsored sex, a complex, regardless of your finesse
Or your fitness, it's the condition of business
Your lame vision of a underground, physical image
You're underneath to undermine your whole, typical image
With the precision of percentages, and the collision of sedatives
Poetry, beats, and mics - we untouchable
Like righteous sluts with no crevices
Streets unite, we rock right over dumber beats
Yo' cats couldn't come this hot {jerkin off} in the summer heat
Forget two takes, kill y'all birds the first time

Does anyone buy at least 1 stock of a company they use? Seems weird but makes sense to me. I'm already investing my life into the company so I may as well invest money too. This way I'm also getting "paid" by the company to keep using them on top of the services/products they provide me.

I think the only one I haven't bought a share of is GOOGL because that's way too much but I plan to eventually. Bought Amazon for like ~$530 in 2016 instead of Google which was like ~$200 more. Obviously made the right call by a long shot.

see, I'm following that scenario too but just have little faith that there is anything market ready (affordable) that has not already been implemented to a great extent.
The second a corp can shave a penny off by automating they will do so (doing cost benefit analysis of investing in automation and having it come back as a green light).
I'm too hesitant to bet that chink flu is going to accelerate this industry by a substantial amount due to how R&D intensive and costly it is to bring a lot of this properly into mainstream market. I know a lot is on the horizon but not sure how close and if the latest plague will have power to push it to market.

You definitely didn't do enough research into options. The main use of options is to sell the option when it becomes worth more. Very few people actually execute options. Their main use other than trading them is as insurance against a large drop, or to set up a trading strategy (like spreads).
>its not any different than just outright buying the stock if youre confident it will go up
Incorrect. Generally, something like a 5% gain in a stock's value can impart a 100% gain in an option (depending on the strike price/date). Because you control 100 shares per option. Of course, this also means a 5% drop can devastate your option too.

One other thing to also consider is that if the recession is prolonged, as many expect it to be, companies will be facing extended periods of revenue declines, meaning capex is also going to take a hit. With decreases in capex, it makes sense to leverage regions in which infrastructure development was already taking place. I don't think anyone would disagree that Chinese business (mal)practices leave a bad taste in the mouth, and recent investment in SEA (prior to CV) was one answer to decoupling from Chinese prominence in global supply chains (and to avoid their rising labor costs). This might be a near-term boost to that, at least until we see healthy revenue growth again, at which point companies could then re-evaluate whether it makes sense to onshore what they can.

It does suck in the beginning but I have learned that it gets easier every day and that you don't get out of depression until you address the habits making you miserable. It's ok to fail at it too as long as one keeps trying. One of my favorite quotes that helped me get sober is, "Our greatest glory doesn't come from never falling but getting back up again."

This is the solvency issue that's been discussed in a few threads over the past week. The short answer is that there's a strong possibility that it will get worse for corporate and household America before it gets better. That is a huge downside risk that the markets have not priced in at all.

AAAAAAA, one day I'm going to be free from the corp meme life. So tired, and getting more tired when I think about how much I could have achieved if I worked this hard for myself.
I dream of a day I can have a relaxed small business or independent consulting/integration and nice passive income.

Tfw buffet made most of his money from which selling expensive af insurance that government forced you to buy and then fucking over their customers by not paying out. Has anyone ever bought geico? Their insurance was 2-3x as much as regular insurance from Allstate. I paid about 200 but geico quoted me 600. Fuck that boomer fuck. Basically he scammed the already poor. Then he hustled that money into cash loans on about to be bankrupted companies at pennies on the dollar. Then he memed the old regular guy who bought and held meme into the Boomer billionaire meme. Guy is shady af but smart enough to play normal guy so people wouldn’t hate him.

yeah, with latest Yuan deval the Chinks were really signalling that they are feeling like they are morphing into a more mature service oriented economy like US (will take decades etc as always but signaling is enough to trigger need for change). In short run, all they're saying is that they think they can't grow a lot more than they already have and the country can't be milked for cheap labor as much as it was historically.
Pivot to SEA/India is natural shift in coming years and the current US administration will accelerate with their stance.
Africa is another godforsaken hellhole of interest which makes me wonder just how strong of a root the Chinks have planted there and why the US is very quiet about it so far.
CV is just a nice excuse to do what everyone was doing and accelerate/decelerate with convenient excuse as strategically needed

Not sure how well leveraged infrastructure dev in SEA etc. will be due to China effects on it in short run. A lot of that dries up if your export centric economy is getting squeezed

It's true. Not only are they now an older population than us, their population is rapidly declining. India will surpass them population wise in the near future. It's part of the reason people say China had a window to seize global power, and it's looking increasingly likely they won't hit that window. No clue how the virus affects that now, but I'd guess they screwed themselves harder than they needed to.

i really don't see india becoming a bigger superpower than china simply because of population growth -- china is, at this point, far more advanced and their state machinery is much more effective. i don't think india will be able to overtake this fast enough for china to supplant the US as the largest global superpower (which won't be for a while either)
