It might potentially defend against the tiny specs of water that are sneezed/coughed out - but that does not stop the virus going through the mask when the water droplets hit your mask and explode due to force of impact.

Masks are not a solution, neither is physical distancing. Staying at home might have helped if people were not incompetent and still had to go outside for food/water/whatever. Should have had drones delivering stuff and lockdown everyone for two months.

Wearing a mask lets people know you're taking things seriously and most likely wash your hands, etc. People not wearing a masks advertise that they don't care about you, slovenly, anti-social, and don't care about their community.

Now why would you want to advertise that? Why would you want others to think of you negatively? That desperate for attention? For me, wearing a mask ensures I blend in greyman style and people will leave me the fuck alone.

What you retards fail to address is the fact that this is not a long term solution neither is social distancing or the rest. There is a good chance that we will not be able to produce an effective vaccine (Not even talking about safety concerns for something that would be used throughout the population without any long term trials) within the next few years. In that case what is your strategy ? Live like this for the next 5 or 10 years ? Maybe forever ?
