From what I've seen so far, the technicals seem to be overtly copied. To an unbelievable extent actually. If that PIVX WP is real, then it's almost sad how much was just simply copied - not even sure if McAfee knew.

I think that even though this project really is almost entirely built on McAfee's persona and no one actually gives one fuck about another privacy coin, to put it simply the plagiarism is ultimately not a positive factor, it is a negative factor.

We will see how the God of crypto shilling responds. We'll see how PIVX responds. If you're holding you just put everything on black. But I figure if this project really has legs (and is going to beat Monero or whatever the fuck) I can always buy in later and make huge returns. But aint touching this until future developments arrive. Too much fuckery.

There's nothing to wait and see anymore, ghost is done for. The devs can't even properly fake a whitepaper, I mean was it really so hard to proof read the thing and remove the unused keys? Shit even if they did proof read it would be an obvious PIVX copy paste.
From the beginning they should've openly stated that it's a PIVX fork and fully referenced the PIVX whitepaper and make it clear what GHOST was going to do different. They didn't do this so it's obvious that sooner or later the whole charade would crumble. That the devs couldn't see this coming speaks volumes of their intelligence, you really think they have the ability to develop a successful PoS privacy coin?
Unless the ghost devs had already exit scammed by the time the whitepaper dropped. If so that was an excellent PnD play.
Either way this shitcoin is finished before it even started, and it will take ESH to the grave with it.

I'm definitely leaning in your direction. However I think that people just may not care one way or the other. As I said no one really cares about another privacy coin - this thing lives and dies on McAfee's hype. And crypto lives and breathes on hype.

Let's hypothesize that in a few years, and the price somehow manages to be up - will the argument "Do you know this project plagiarized PIVX?" be enough to curb the tide? I think people only care about returns. If you distill cryptocurrency people invest in it for the insane returns, they don't care about the technology enough and the technology has close to zero use case today.

This will be very interesting to watch down the road. If it succeeds further it's proof that any garbage project can be hyped to the moon and I think serves as a commentary on what crypto is - all about the money. If it fails, I would say it gives a little more credibility to the ethics of crypto investors. Ironically, I'm not sure what side I'm on at the moment as it's almost a philosophical impasse we're at.
