Be charismatic, care about what you do, hold yourself up to a standard that isnt enforced on you.
The more you give a shit about your job and your customer, the more successful you will be.

And for a large part of it, you're not selling the product, you are selling yourself.
Its the most fun and most shit job you can have.

i think you generally have to be decent looking to get a decent sales job too since people generally like good looking people more and want them to like them. sales seems like a bullshit gig that's a lot of work to me but i guess it can pay pretty well if you're driven and have the right personality for it.

there are tons of different sales jobs. some of them involve selling things to people that have to buy them anyway for their work you just have to be better or have better prices than the competing businesses. it's not like all sales jobs are going door to door selling globes or something. those types of sales jobs don't even really exist anymore.

Sales is the only industry that I'd be able to make what I make currently. Close to $200K a year. That said, it's an up and down business that will crush you if you are not mentally strong and persistent. If you are afraid of rejection, forget it.
