but if youre straight up lying yes, that's called unemployment fraud and you will go to jail. it's not hard to get caught for lying because they contact your employer to verify hours worked, loss of job, etc.

glossed over that part, kind of drunk. afaik they straight up interview you and ask for a bunch of supplemental documentation if you're self employed. so again, if you're lying you can get assfucked. but if you're telling the truth, you're fine.
