So, lets talk SAVA! Huge blunder on my part, sorry about this folks. As it turns out the usual biomarkers have significant variability based on circadian rythm, lab methods and whatnot. Those interested see for example 10.1371/journal.pone.0100784, 10.1515/CCLM.2008.241. I thought measuring these is trivial, turns out it's not. I wonder how come the phase 2a results were so consistent. Coming up next are secondary endpoints, which means cognitive scores and blood biomarker levels. Neuroinflammation was definitely reduced at least, so - assuming the drug works- we might end up meeting the cognitive endpoints in a weird turn of events. But it's unlikely, again, due to the high variability. Cash is about 20-25 mil as i recall, that should be enough for quite a while without dilution. I suspect a phase 2b costs several millions at most. Maybe they will repeat the study, possibly with a better choice of endpoints, or higher number of patients. But that is for next year. The coming months should be good, blood test unveiling and data crunching. Now it's way oversold, (might even get to 1-1.5), as if the results would mean that pti-125 is out of the game. I don't think so, but we are two steps back. Apart from redo, investor trust should be salvaged somehow to get funds for an eventual phase 3, so there's a chance this is GALT all over again. Still, as good a value buy as it was last year, but the road ahead is now bumpy. Also, as a sidenote, I think it would be good for Parkinson's as well.

At least in the financial crisis it was just that, a financial crisis. Home prices dropped due to bad mortgages and everyone lost money. Global supply was mostly unchanged. This really isn’t a financial crisis at all. The government printed money and liquidity remained. But global supply has been shaken. Take a look at where the volume has been flowing into the past month. Where would the sell volume come from within the sectors you outlined if there were further margin calls and additional deleveraging. The markets are entirely too top-heavy right now. If there are further forced liquidations in the event that we see another downturn, tech will lead, followed by the index-matching funds that have benefited from institutional and municipal passive money managers being forced to pinch their nose and buy. Very little that isn't tech or not tied to an index has recovered to anywhere near the extent that the former have, and where would the liquidity come from if they were sold off in a fire sale first?

maybe so, but I don't predict we'll be seeing forced selling like that that again, I expect investors will continue to want to move up in quality in equities.

The wealthiest aren't holed up on pandemic islands anymore, they see that things haven't gone totally off the rails. And the fed backstopped most everything they could. This isn't the bottom, and maybe we haven't seen the bottom for the indices, though it's possible we have for big tech, so maybe we have for the Nasdaq.
