I quit my 80k job in early feb because they wouldnt let me work from home due to cv, then got a 100k job a month and half later, then filed for unemployment retroactively and collected a few gs from that.

I was getting $1210 after taxes on UI then my work decided to get PPP now I’m getting paid less and I’m doing manual labor. It’s actually not that bad because I basically just do my own hours which are 10-3 M-Th but I’m getting full salary. Going to see it because I’m not getting OT I can still get that federal $600

PS because the company got PPP it’s free money to them so they’re basically getting free labor out of everyone.

Yes, I’m White and I don’t work for Scamazon. I work in mid level managment a restaurant group and we aren’t even open for business. PPP is free money to the biz owner so long as they put 75% of it to payroll. So they hired back all the spics because “they couldn’t get UI” which is bullshit because they all get checks from payroll and they all pay taxes. It’s all just a scam to use us for what is effectively free labor.
This feels like I’m getting scammed. I’m legit taking a pay cut right now to go do odd jobs like demo and paint. It’s actually better than staying at home it’s just a matter of principal
