CP is corporate profit after tax, GDP is the trendline, the S&P is probably overvalued. Even with inflation factored in it's up 2.5x since 2012 where CP hit the ceiling. Take it as you will, there are a lot of things in that mix that aren't accounted for, necessarily, like diminishing returns on investments, or growth investing with little short-term return opportunity.

But the prices should be more akin to 2012, I'd reckon, except for speculative investment assets like MVIS, TSLA or biotechs, which bear substantially more risks. Even then they shouldn't necessarily be so highly valued, but breaching new industries and building strong moats makes them highly valuable in the short term.

I wouldn't take anything from it, though, I was just replicating another chart somebody posted with more up to date information.
