Amazon shouldn't be missing earnings at all. You don't need to leave your fucking house to use the service and you would expect people in quarantine would all be using Amazon more than ever in lieu of actually going out. The problem is the cost of living in this country is absurd, people are living paycheck to paycheck, they don't have money to buy shit, and the vast majority of them have just their meager savings which this quarantine wiped out, they probably won't have a job to come back to when the quarantine ends, and they'll need to find some way to "get ahead" financially given those conditions before they even consider spending again.

Full disclosure: I'm rich, I made my money through the purest implementation of capitalism you can really get, but I have been screaming to my peers (and getting called a socialist mind you) that the rest of the country are our cattle. We need to occasionally slaughter some of the herd, but never down to a level where the herd can't recover. We have bled the herd dry so much that it WILL eventually impact us because we won't have any cattle to eat. We'll end up killing each other over the last head, whoever is left will eat well for a few days, then join us in death after they starve. To secure our prosperity, we need to bleed them slow and sustainably. The rancher and the herd shouldn't be at odds.
