ITT: We discuss the reality that Corona is the best thing that has ever happened economically. Ever.

Example UK:
12,000 confirmed dead. Average net worth of these dead is 750,000 GBP, including house+pension etc. (+12,000,000,000 GBP to the economy)

The GDP for these individuals: -2,000,000 per year to keep them alive as their average age is 85 and they require extensive medial care at the expense of the state. none of these persons work/economically productive. (+32,000,000 GBP to the economy)* possibly as high as 500bn as the extend of the drain on the nhs and economy as a whole is unknown.

all their capital gains remain in the economy but are now in the hands of younger more savvy investors.

The govt has also taxed all their estates at 40% (the 10% of which are in the 100s of millions)

The only UK jobs that have been temporarily lost are not economically productive (hospitality/entertainment)

With 1-5 more pandemics like this that target weak/old we will all be millionaires and reach space colonisation by 2100

(virtually all uk industry that matters is continuing remotely, example finance)

in most developed but small countries Corona has already made the average person a millionaire
