LINK is a class of its own, when it was ICO'd in 2017, smart contracts were new and there was literally no other oracle solution.

High-throughput DAGs and blockchains? There are a dime a dozen now. ETH 2.0 will scale much better than 1.0 and will be the death of most of them.

Tech doesn't matter. BTC has some of the most antiquated tech in crypto land and is still the top dog.
