Learn languages for 1-5 hours a day
Learn about investment opportunities with little time i had left after full time work.
This lockdown has done nothing for me. I already did that shit, and now I still do it but cant do anything else.
All my other hobbies which took place outside are illegal here in the UK now. I can't make any plans for my future either with absolutely no certainty.

The way i see it poor neets live a form of serfdom. They are bound to their home, can only engage in cheap or free activities, very close by due to lack of funds for owning cars or travel etc.
They eventually get the full range of vidya and pron or anime experience after they are early 20s. Philosophy or whatever shit they then tap into has limitations too, and can only be free. so they are trapped in their mind doing this shit sucking the government teet, unable to go elsewhere or they nolonger get the gibs.

there life is limited, their experiences and opportunities shallow, and maxed out fast. a teenager can experience all this life has to offer by age 20, while poor neets will continue to do it for decades.

Meanwhile a wagie can save money, move anywhere they want. take time off and blow it in a cheap country if they want, do things regularly with their money. have more potential varied experiences and opportunities. Socially it is also another paradigm.

I agree. I do focus on one at a time. I learned mandarin a couple years ago, got to around B1 level. Went to China and realised chinks are rude and barbaric and regretted learning it lol. Taiwan was based though so at least i got some benefit, and learning the language itself is fun. I enjoy it for itself.

Went to Japan after meeting a Japanese woman while travelling and realised Japan is a pretty cool place after she showed me around. Went skiing, to loads of onsen and tokyo etc. Japanese actually sounded nice too so i was interested. Been learning it for 1.5 years and made decent progress. aiming to get to B1 level then i'll probably try learning Russian or whatever seems fun. Though I may even move to Japan for a few years. Corona has fucked that up though.

I'll look at both of those, but Glossika is amazing for learning a language if you are only interested in speaking it like me and less interested in reading it. I also found it is really easy to go back and learn to read if you already speak it later.

What exactly are you getting at? I like hiking in the mountains, climbing, skateparks, and skiing. None of this is particularly expensive. You could easily have your fill on a very small income.

I traveled around the states and even visited Europe a few times just working part-full time odd jobs on and off throughout the year. Living well at the lower end of income has far more to do with your mindset than anything. I know how to cook and I enjoy physical activities, which are free. I really want for nothing but to own my own home/land debt free which I am working on with my investments.

What are you talking about? I specifically said that I have traveled through most of the U.S. and have taken trips to Europe. How is hiking in the mountains and doing extreme sports "normie" shit? Most people are too fucking weak and scared to participate in these activities, over half this country is fucking obese. Maybe you misunderstood me?

I am technically a NEET but never identified with true shut-in NEETs because I am pretty gifted physically and pick up things like skiing really quickly. I'm not extremely extroverted though so I kind of exist in a strange limbo, but it does give me the perspective to be able to play either role depending on the situation.

The opportunity cost of being a NEET who literally does nothing but sink their time into distractions on screen are far, far FAR worse off than wageslaves most of the time. At least the wagies have the opportunity to learn about human kind in a way that isn't intermediated by their screens filled with preconceived notions.

Shutdown taught me how much I hated my job but I was blind and coping. During lockdown I've been exercising, reading finance and history, learning to garden, smoking weed and having some cocktails with family and playing some video games with friends. My work background is in insurance. I have my real estate license but have done nothing with it because I don't believe in myself. I've got 6k USD, 0.8 BTC 1000 LINK 8 ETH 12 LTC. 140 oz. silver, 29k 401k, 3k in some rando stocks on RH, and about 25k debt between school and car loan (only about 60% done my uni, one class at a time)
