I wonder who devs are gonna trust for their oracles, Coinbase with millions of customers, billions in assets and FDIC insured.... or literal who Sergey Nazarov KYCing each node manually based on god knows what? Both are literally equally centralized, and Coinbase most likely has better code considering they have better engineers. It's just like we predicted, Chainlink has zero network effect, zero decentralization, zero first mover advantage. Any big company can just "make their own" and instantly destroy whatever pathetic adoption Chainlink had. Reminder than some linkers actually believe Facebook, Google, etc. would use Chainlink instead of making their own. This is proof that no one will use Chainlink centralized oracles, they'll just roll out their own.

>inb4 Coinbase will provide data to the link network

If that were the case they would have stated so in their article. Coinbase knows what link is since they are trading it on their platform. Those simply chose not to use it

perhaps endorsing an instrument on their exchange in that kind of way subjects them to some regulation infraction. they did the smart thing.
