Launched in May 2018. Had a big pump in November 2018 that was mostly hype/shades of PND.
It has a unique PoW function that relies on accessing random reads from deterministically generated large files. Basically this means you need an SSD/lots of RAM to mine. First of its kind and potentially huge implications for the future of PoW. Right now mining is mostly RAM dominated but when the snowfields (name of the files) become larger, it may again favor smaller SSD set-ups, ensuring that mining is kept at a hobbyist level. It's worth mentioning that since the function is different it will never take away from bitcoin's hash rate.
It's also "quantum tough" using a multisig signing mechanism for certain wallets, ensuring defense against an attack from a quantum computer of up to 16,000 qubits. This should be improved further down the line.
Dev is a literal wizard who has been working on Bitcoin related projects for almost 10 years and created Satoshidice (very first Bitcoin gambling app which was sold to Erik Voorhees).
Less than $1MM cap, currently trading between 10 and 20 cents on qTrade (my personal favorite exchange and home of Idena, Nyzo, Amoveo, etc.)
