That's exactly right
But it's already "known". It's only priced in with the smart money (ie, it isn't priced in).
When things start to normalize, the fed&treasury policy of "we gotta save everybody" goes right out the window. Over the rest of the decade, they will be raising rates and normalizing their balance sheet. They will do it incredibly slowly, but they will do it without mercy. Businesses with too much debt will slowly be strangled and bankrupted, the prices will be paid. But overall, the economy will be much healthier as a result of all of this.
The point of the overall strategy is to not have all the pain hit all at once (now) but to have it delayed over the next 5-10 years.

5g is attenuated by the air heavily and by walls extremely heavily because it's a higher frequency (closer to wifi). It's only useful in very dense cities because it lets you install a transmitter on every block with minimal cross talk with only a few channels needed.
And it's basic as fuck technology that we've been using forever. This shit could have happened in the early 00s no problem, but tower load has only gotten heavy enough over the last few years to seriously considering using it. 5g is not a 4g upgrade. It's a different radio technique for very dense areas. It's only faster because the frequency is higher, but that sharply reduces range. You need a substantial fiber backbone and many transmitters to cover even a square mile.
And how the fuck is downloading a movie in 3 seconds beneficial? A six minute download means you can already easily stream. Three seconds is way more than the storage on your phone can even handle, so it would have to be downloading into ram while slowly paging it off to flash, destroying performance in the process. Diminishing returns. Going from 640k to 2MB was an enormous jump. Going from 8GB to 16 is meh. 16 to 32 is a waste of money unless you're hosting many VMs or a big database.
Going from a 56k modem to 500kb/s DSL was breath taking. Going again to 1Mb/s felt like the internet was new again. Going to 10Mb/s opened up the ability to stream HD video.
Going to 50 just meant downloads were faster and more than one person could use YouTube without it crapping out. Going to 100 basically didn't change anything except steam downloads. Now I'm at 500Mb/s at home and unless really pushing it hard, there's no practical difference. I have a server with a 1Gb/s line for media hosting and seedboxing, and I wouldn't pay even $5/mo for 2Gb/s because it's just completely unnecessary.
1 to 10Mb/s was a huge deal.
100 to 1000Mb/s makes things slightly more convenient.
Diminishing returns.

>Why do you think Huawei was banned?
Letting a sneaky Chinese company make our telcom infrastructure is a bad idea.
>You're referencing old technology.
I am not. I'm an electrical engineer who happens to have read up on 5g quite a bit. "5g" is a marketing term for a huge basket of standards which allow hardware to interoperate using higher frequency bands than 4g. It's really a mess of design-by-comittee garbage, but at the absolute heart of it is just bumping up the frequency and using a few tricks that wifi routers have been using for a decade, like beamforming. All the performance comes from using the somewhat recently unlicensed 5GHz band. If you've ever used 5GHz on a wifi router, you'll know it doesn't handle walls well and doesn't go as far even with line of sight. This is physics working against you.

>>18637016
5g is dead in the water as far as marketing goes because it's an infrastructure improvement for cell providers, not a tangible improvement for consumers. It's not something you can give a whiz bang presentation about because 4g is already plenty fast. Normalfags can already blow their whole data plan on 4g in a day. They know this. You're not going to impress them with nunbers. There's also a very popular meme that 5g causes health issues. Pushing the brand of "5g" has already done way more harm than good.

They have relatively low debt and projected low fuel prices are helpful to low cost carriers.

No, but I've been in plenty of cities and the internet is rarely bad. It's only a problem with extreme density, which is the entire point of 5g. Telcoms tried to use this boring infrastructure improvement to drive the same hype that 3g and 4g gave. Those were real improvements though. 5g is meh. And the people who think 5g causes cancer are the same group who think vaccines cause autism. If you believe that's only hillbillies then I have some bad news.
5g has basically universally bad press and it doesn't actually give anything to the average consumer except poor battery life. That's right, 5g radios use substantially more power. And that's physics, it won't be lowered by much, became the problem comes from having to energize multiple antennas to keep a reliable connection.

>>18637260
lol enjoy the jitter caused by trading tower every half block. Plus 50ms vs 10ms is significant, but not all that significant.

>>18637295
If you're doing fucking surgery over a cell connection you've got screws loose. That shit is done over a hard connection to fiber. 5g latency cannot be lower than normal fiber because you're adding at least one hop, but in practice you're unlikely to be connected to a fiber backed tower at any time. To keep costs practical, these new antennas are going to be linked to each other, so your connection might hop a few times before actually making it to fiber. You're listening to marketing material. Normalfags are googling "5g" and seeing "this is how 5g harms your health", and "5g might be good for farmers or something".

The US is about to pull off the biggest heist in the history of heists.
We are going to suck the world dry of all its worth and give you little wads of paper for it.
Oh wait we already did that, time and time again and yet you all keep falling for it, every time we crash the market then raise it back up again and say hey come and place your bets. But this next crash will be a little harder, because the house is cashing out, they have had a decades long run and are retiring. Shit is about to get crazy while things transition over to the next generation, then the game starts all over again.

How does money wiring and settlement work?

If I 'wire' money to another country. Is that just an electronic message saying "this account on our end has been debited by 1000, credit this account in your bank by 1000"

Then does any money move or is it just data on a server?

These tiny tax havens with hundreds of billions in bank accounts. Do they have any physical money on the island or is it all data on a server. If it's just data on a server cant they just fiddle the accounts in their own jurisdiction without anyone else knowing?

Short sighted ideological warfare. Most politicians give little fucks about the crisis itself, but tackling it their own way and coming out on top will give their side more clout for the short term political cycle. Conservatives want the economies to function at the cost of lives. Liberals want people to stay inside at the cost of the economy. No one is correct. I assume it's very similar in EU as it is in US.

Corona has deleted conservatives, there aren't and conservative politicians left.

Democrat politicians think shutdowns are good for the economy, long term, after considering the risks of not shutting down. Republican politicians would rather take the risk and open up right away because they prefer going after the best case scenario.

Its really more of whether we should just open up and hope the corona doesn't spread, or take a more cautious approach. Interestingly, the democrats are actually more "conservative" in this way.

The lower frequency bands have similar drawbacks that 4g has. You can't run them at high power in close quarters because of interference, and you can't fit more data on it than the channel capacity allows, which is hard capped at the shannon limit. Modern communications already approach this limit, so the only way to pack more data on is by increasing the frequency and adding channels, but the available channels are limited.
