There is a shortage, but not because of mines. There's a shortage because every man and his dog was lined up outside every bullion shop in the Western world back in March to buy metal before the fed made printer go brrr. Remember your average normie is stupid but not a complete idiot.
The high premium is because of transport costs - airlines are gouging every shipment to try and stay afloat. They have no passengers so they are making whatever they can in freight, which isnt a lot. Expect premiums to stay high until the airline industry recovers.

That would come down to commercial agreements between apmex and the refineries - no way for me to know. If apmex has that kind of supply then I'm sure their stockroom guys have real friendly relationships with the sales girls at the refineries' bullion desks.
Buying bullion is very simple, you just phone the refinery, open an account and fron the cash. They send you goods and the certificates. Ezpz. I recommend always buying from the refinery's shop, if you don't know where it is or if they have one, phone them, they'll be very happy to tell you where you can get their goods direct.

I've pretty much gone all in and I think I'm getting close, but it's just obstacle after obstacle, I'm stuck now jumping through regulatory hoops which is a nightmare, I've found some consultant who's got applications approved through the department before and he gave me a copy of his emergency plans and said I could just copy and paste my stuff in and should be all sweet, there are some people out there who are happy to help I guess.

My plan is to get the ore sent to a mill but then someone told me it's hard to get a look in at mill atm, I've got a few contacts I can try and my plan is to sell my best grade ore to them at a rate too good to refuse and get a bit of cash flow happening. Also the truck I just bought had a wire loose and fried the wiring harness today, great.

My old man and business partner has been diagnosed with a heart condition and it's my goal to get a gold pour happening before he passes on, I promise if I get this working I'll get a photo of a nice gold bar for you guys as well

These types don't have a huge advertising budget, mostly because they're more proactive about approaching mines themselves. There is currently more demand than supply, so right now is a very good time to be a miner. I know the people at ABC and Siltech very well, they're legitimate and good people who pay their bills. Perth Mint is still government controlled somewhat, so that comes with its own set of considerations, but they obviously refine literally tons of gold every day. The other two aren't as big, but they're growing. They might be right for you, who knows.

I don't think you understand what goes into establishing the spot price. There are about 170 'paper' ounces of silver for every 1 real ounce, and the trading of these 'paper' ounces is overwhelmingly what drives the spot. However, as more and more people begin demanding the delivery of the physical metal they are (in theory) entitled to by having a 'paper' ounce the physical metal price and the paper dominated spot price begin to divorce from each other. Even at the 1000 troy oz bar level, you can see that they are going for $17500-$18000 compared to the 15.05/oz spot right now.

When there's that level of disconnect at the commodity trading level, its more than just a seller's premium. The percieved 'premium' on silver is just the actual price of the metal without 'paper' silver pushing it down.

ETF is likely to do well. Just recommending Barrick because IMO it's undervalued compared to the other stocks. It's trading at a P/E under 12 and all those other companies on the image I posted are either in some sketchy country like Russia, don't have any declared earnings, or have high P/Es and their growth is priced in.

Barrick has no debt, tons of cash (can make lots of deals), a gold mining veteran/redpilled South African as CEO and is currently undervalued by the market.

For a physical ETF like SLV the ETF tracks the price of silver through arbitrage. ETF is priced above spot, people transfer silver metal to the ETF and sell shares, ETF is below spot, people buy shares and redeem them for physical metal. That's how physical ETFs work.

If you're curious, here's a quote from GLD:

"the creation process literally involves transferring bars of gold from the AP’s account at HSBC to the Trust’s account in exchange for one or more baskets of shares."
