Is there any possible scenerio in which RTX is going to go down? I see it as a win win eitheir way either the economy goes to shit we go to war and defense spending goes up or the economy booms and trump throws more money in defense. Am I just a brainlet or is RTX unstopable?

no. its in the interest of national security. they'll prop it up by any means. im not even sure what market forces would drive the price down since its a government contractor and their revenue comes from brrrr/taxes

The bull case for RTX is that its relatively stable defense business accounts for about 65% of projected revenues in 2020 and 2021. That should anchor the company until a rebound in the hard-hit aerospace units comes in 2022. It can still go down though because aerospace can get hit worse and harder if we have a second wave, and defense budget could get cut as well.

RTX is a giant boat. Way too many employees for the revenue they produce.

This. Can't let the Chicoms buy it and turn it against us.

The only thing that worries me is they could disassemble it and piece it out to other companies, as long as it stays in the USA. Not sure how plausible that is though.

The UTC merger turned this stock from pure defense to a mixed defense and aerospace play. Thus we are hoping that aerospace doesn't collapse further especially since how many air fleets are going to buy new parts.

We aren't the canadians. Although I am worried about the nature of US defense industries given how they are starting to turn into BA with their focus on diversity rather than developing weapons.
