Re-opening is basically telling workers to go fuck themselves, because the rich need slaves. The protests don't seem to be organic, and are more reminiscent of the BLM protests than people actually wanting to go back to their shit jobs and messed up lives.
Obviously people can't stay locked up forever, but putting others at risk just so they can wage cuck is boomer-tier Catch 22.
>>18614055
desu we're already there, just don't know it yet. Q1 and Q2 earnings are going to be a shit for everything that isn't an Oil Tanker, Amazon, or Netflix. Amazon is now taking EBT. Even with the small business loans covering payroll, companies are going to downsize / lay off people because of a lack of demand, and pocket the difference. We're like 30 minutes in on a 2 hour movie.
We'll see more bailouts probably, and I fully expect those $2000 stimulus checks for 6 months to pass. as far as actually getting stuff / goods being available 6 months from now, who knows.

>Re-opening is basically telling workers to go fuck themselves, because the rich need slaves.
Reopening actually saves jobes so it helps workers.

The only way this could be good for the poor is if the goverment does big spending that goes to poor people enough so that inflation wont fuck consumer buying index. PS Infact inflation is great for anybody with debt and fucks the banka

Bullshit. Neets and doomers don't represent everyone else. You ever think about how people need to pay for shit and as the lockdown goes on it's only going to cause more pain and anger to normies to a point where they will riot and pressure politicians even more?

Normally I'd agree, but we're looking at nearly 2 quarters of bad / no demand, and the next one is still going to be diminished severely. Consumption patterns don't return to normal overnight, It's going to be a year or more before things are "normal" again. Most companies can't survive that kind of downturn without massive changes; like US energy sector jobs are going to be utterly wrecked from the impending shale bankruptcies / well closures until things are profitable again.
The poor get fucked either way, either by a lack of government aid, or just having no money. We haven't even touched on corona medical bills, an impending rent/mortgage crisis, or what happens when the 2nd wave hits.

>or just having no money. We haven't even touched on corona medical bills, an impending rent/mortgage crisis, or what happens when the 2nd wave hits.
this is why government aid is literally the only thing stopping total collapse and they are pushing to reopen so quickly. They cannot (don't want to) pay all these people to stay home. worst part is Inflation is going to hit when people are staying home and goods/services are not being produced.

My point is quarantine hurts the average worker more than the 1%

>> No.18614526

>>18614294
Yes, people want their lives to go back to normal. This is understandable. But it's not how the political right does things. right wing people also tend to be *extremely* lawful and respectful of order. Protesting is out of character for them.
When the protests are being organized by right-wing business interests (through shell fronts, as you do in the political game); it implies a whole host of things by those interests:
> We need to be making money again, and we'll give you money to work
> We don't care if you die, so long as money is being made.
> We need you to consume and make the economic engine function, because we can't survive unless you do
Even for our society, it's pretty shallow. there is *zero* altruism in these protests. The 5g anti-vax hillary-is-reptilians Q-boomer crowd is literally the right's version of the antifa communists; easy fodder to convince of anything.
>>18614454
I 100% agree... but if that's the case, why are bailouts mainly targeting the moneyed interests? You can argue it helps more people in a roundabout away (There's a fair argument to be made, for sure); but wouldn't direct help be mounds better than business bailouts, for the most affected people?
Inflation will hit either way, giving people money at least softens the blow a bit.

>> No.18614624

>>18614526
>I 100% agree... but if that's the case, why are bailouts mainly targeting the moneyed interests?
here's the redpill inflation benefits anybody who gets the money (it is a method of wealth distribution via dilution), especially in economic crisis when asset prices plummet and you can gain an edge over your competitor. These quarantine bailout measures are hugely benefiting the rich compared to the middle class (seen by the overwhelming demand for SBA loans) . The only thing that poor people are getting is unemployment which still fucks over the middle class since it counts as a wage cut for them. especially in high Cost of Living places. Furthermore the more jobs that are lost the more downward pressure on wages there are moving forward,

This quarantine is the rich looting the country and is a gateway to economic disaster while the rich scoop up assets for cheap.

>people actually wanting to go back to their shit jobs
I doubt many want to but at the same I've seen too many that act like their lives are a facebook highlight reel but the moment they lose their job they're somehow "bored." Ironic how I get called boring and yet unemployed for over half a year now and happy yet a former coworker told me if she was rich she'd keep her job because "what else is there to do?"
