Yes.

The market always leads the economy, so now that the market has realized things aren't as bad as Bill Ackman told us, the economy is starting to realize it as well.

I think we're still short-term over-bought, but I don't see us revisiting the forced-selling of March lows. Hope you bought your cheapies.

Caught that. The one guy is obviously joking.
Funny enough I found the paper he was talking about and the results the guy was claiming say things a bit different than what he is saying.
http://publichealth.lacounty.gov/phcommon/public/media/mediapubhpdetail.cfm?prid=2328
"These findings underscore the importance of expanded polymerase chain reaction (PCR) testing to diagnose those with infection so they can be isolated and quarantined, while also maintaining the broad social distancing interventions."
Further they note that you don't draw death rates as the number of deaths continue to mount. And thus drawing epidemiological conclusions from the projection is not a good idea. Further the results have not been peer reviewed. Ultimately the point of the test was to see if polymerase chain reaction (PCR) testing is best for this pandemic.

Yes all of those. And used in factories for some stuff. The main thing is demand for natural gas has not been hit as hard as oil was/is. I imagine it will range around 1.50-2.00 for a while.

Sadly anything "self reflective" about 4chan or any attempt to dive into 4chan culture in any meaningful way it usually pretty cringe. This movie probably will be too, can't see it going any other way.

Most outsiders don't really get it or something, and there are too many subcultures within boards to really ever describe 4chan accurately.

For example, if I wanted to sell a put, I know I'm on the hook to buy that stock at that price if it drops below. But will brokers assign that option before it actually expires? This is assuming the company involved doesn't go bankrupt or something, I'm talking normal day to day stuff.

The remaining 112 contracts had profit percentages ranging from 17 to 4,451 percent for 46 parts."[24] Subsequently, in May 2019, Congressional charges of price-gouging were levied against the company, and hearings followed. TransDigm was accused of spare parts markups during 2015-2017 as high as 4,451%.[25][26] Without admitting any wrongdoing, the company agreed to reimburse the government some $16M

KO is a bad investment short and medium term. It has a long way to fall.
Again, when you invest in KO you are basically playing forex against the USD. Most of their earnings are in foreign currency in markets that have recently been knocked out of orbit and show no prospects of recovering soon. The dollar is going to get a whole lot stronger before it gets weaker.

Oil is a safe short now because oil is handed out for free now it will let anyone who actually wants or needs it to fill their stockpiles for months. This means futures for next month will tank, then next month after that, then next month after that... etc.

Are you not allowed to contribute to your IRA?

I would open a Roth IRA and contribute every year I could afford to. As far as I know, you can withdraw your contributions early if you'd like, just not your gains. So I'd rather have my stocks in there than robinhood.

the phase plan by trump teams is pretty good imo. the spread of this virus is probably much much greater than what people are expecting, and the fatality rate is likely to be something absurdly low. The issue other countries likely had was due to the extra ICU admissions from corona ontop of regular admissions. I would hazard a guess that we're really going to be waiting on good tests and high testing capacity. Phase 3 and a full opening will be done after we know the long term effects of the virus. I would say that probably happens within the year. No vaccine needed to get things started again.

I'm masochistic so sometimes I torture myself with knowing how much money I could've had:

Buy in February SPY MARCH 20 220/205 put spreads 450
Each gets max gain of 75K
225K made
Put away personal bills and new car and taxes
Now have 80K left
Buy APR 20 270 calls they cost about 40 dollars each = 2000 calls
Progressively sell these calls eventually making 2 million dollars
Now bank 400K for taxes and 1 million so I can call myself a millionaire
Buy 800 MAY 22 SPY 275 puts for 800000 dollars on Monday
May 22 the price of SPY will be between 230-200 for second leg down bear market activity
If that happens to max gain I make between 2 and 3 million dollars profit
OK so I really couldn't give a fuck at this point so 2.5 million in August 24th SPY calls the economy is booming again

8 million profit

Y'know though to be fair it seems just as easy and a whole lot less stressful to just win the fucking lottery lol
