Why would I run a decentralized program and use centralised oracles to fetch data? How big of a scam is chainlink?

Yo do you guys remember ARK, Chainlink reminds me of ARK.

All you fucking retards who think link is centralized. The only part that is centralized is the data that’s being retrieved itself. And that’s only in specific cases where a company is the one providing their own data through an API. Some of you who have absolutely no IQ points to spare should realize that if you want to have access to the data at all, it will need to come from somewhere that is centralized. Fuck.
If the data can be retrieved from more than one database or api etc etc then it will be that much more decentralized. But if Delta is the only one that wants to share their flight times, guess fuckin what, you have to use delta to get deltas fucking flight times. Otherwise don’t fucking use it at all cause a 100% decentralized form of data retrieval is impossible in a world where monopolies and capitalistic giants exist.

What decentralized program did you plan on running?

Chainlink is great because of its marketing. Yet to learn more about decentralized Oracle's.. for now keep it simple with projects like Eth and Algo.. both have a clear value proposition or are at least decentralized

They are making separate PoD (Proof of decentralization) cl-12 blockchain that will utilize new token.

This. Real Chainlink has never been tried. We just need to keep buying.

Finally people are starting to understand. Primary sources will just publish to the blockchain themselves directly and charge a small fee to people who want that data.

This is the one part that always irked me about link...if the source of data is going to be centralized, what would be the point in having multiple nodes fetch data from that one source to relay it to the blockchain? It seems like this adding an extra step for the sake of it does it not?

Link is just a bunch of convoluted bullshit that sounds robust and interesting, but 100% unnecessary.

Absolutely. Link has no use case at all.

Guess we need more government power to reverse what government power created through favorable policy making for certain actors. Amirite comrade?
