it seemed like a good idea to me. Day trading/swing trading SPY seems legit too. I mean, spy only goes up, right? It follows predictable patterns. Just go all in, every single penny when market hits bottom, and when it peaks, sell it. Rinse and repeat next day for exponential and safe gains. You won't be needing to worry about a major dip since... well it's SPY. It will go back up eventually.

>No vaccine has ever worked for a coronavirus
This is exactly what I have been telling my family to keep them from getting to hopeful and to prepare realistically, but there's no reason to assume that it will never happen just because it hasn't. Never have so many labs been so focused on one goal, and we have better tech than we did even 10 years ago.

>will likely be just as bad or worse than the disease itself
again, this is a huge assumption based only on past failures. I think it's worth keeping at least maybe 10% hope for the vaccine, and something like 40% hope for antivirals and antibody treatments.

So like, 50% hope, which is more than I would've given humanity for making it to the year 2000 without nuclear annihilation, if you'd have asked me in the 70's and 80's. All in all, that's pretty hopeful.

yall are fucking dumb, all a vaccine does is stimulate your own immune system yo recognize the markers of the virus. doesnt work for the common cold because it mutates fast, corona doesnt as fast and the differences are small enough that reinfection of another strain is asymptomatic. so yes, a vaccine is possible after isolating the antibodies or markers from the immune. but it wont be mass produced for at least a year

the problem with options is that it is literal gambling. I want to play the safe game long term because literally threw all of my money into the stock market. Made 12%+ so far with basic RTX swing trading but want to move to something more sophisticated and stable that i can bet all my money on without worrying a bit.

Options trading = gambling, high risk/high rewards
swing/day trading = kind of gambling in a way, but you only lose money if you sell the bottom. Lower rewards, but exponential gains

What about all the small businesses that couldn't get in on the SBA relief funds because corporate chains with multiple locations were able to claim they're a "collection of small businesses"?

Congress is sitting on their hands in regards to a second stimulus bill, so MANY small businesses are about to fail over the next few weeks.

This will unironically cause a housing crash and the collapse of middle class America.

Stocks can literally only go up because real estate, bonds, business investment and boomer rocks are absolute trash right now. All the money printing, wherever it is, will go into the stock market or in a mattress.
We are completely divorced from the economy now. Some day interest rates will rise, there will be a crash, and the Fed will immediately begin money printing again.

I want to invest the helicopter money the Fed is throwing at me and my wife over the next few months. We should see a sizeable amount of money coming in from unemployment insurance alone, not to mention the part-time work we are still able to do from home. I am forecasting about $20k over the next 4 months. I'd like to invest most of that in some long term stocks and bonds to begin setting ourselves up financially.

I read the Bogleheads wiki and watched their videos. As of right now I am planning to build a portfolio per their recommendations: 70% blue chip stocks and 30% long-term bonds.

Is this a solid plan, or am I falling for a boomer meme? I want to play with options, but I think it wise to establish a solid foundation before playing more recklessly with money.

day 2-3 get fairly easy, especially if you're doing some exercise and were taking it light on sugar/carbs to begin with. I'd guess it's much harder if you don't have decent fat reserves.

just make sure you're getting in some water w/ a little salt if you're feeling weak.

It's been very successful but I usually only do one trade a day if that, so I am feeling like I am too big for my britches. I don't need to daytrade all day erry day so I'm taking out 3.5k and all my further profits.
