do you know how any current pc games and console games work? you download the game off the disc onto the hard drive and then have to download a 10gb patch that changes everything anyways. I would never buy a disc for a console game, because if you get it any time after launch, there's going to be a huge patch and you're required to download more content after waiting forever for it to install off the disc anyways.
for streaming to happen, internet speeds need to be better across the board, but before they are that high, internet speeds will be faster than disc based media, that in combination with what I mentioned above means there will be a time period where disc based media is dead, but everything hasn't become streaming yet.
