I have no freaking idea. He hated the DAO rollback, which is understandable.

But from then, he lost it. Maybe he has created his own bubble populated with morons like Adam Back and Peter Todd? At any rate, his condemnation of ETH goes way beyond what's warranted.

I guess deep down he is pissed that Buterin took the idea and ran with it instead of waiting for Szabo and others to implement it. Also it must bite that Vitalik had a successful ICO and now money to spend on ETH while the BTC core developers are now on Blockstream's leash and the other forks are privately owned shitcoins.

It depends whether Money Skelly and the team can make it in time.

I do trust them to get things right. They do their research before hacking up some half-baked scaling solution, and that's a good thing. They also have planning and development support from enterprises, via the EEA. They have the right ideas and a lot of talent to build them.

I feel just a bit uneasy that it's taking them so long...

But yeah, if they get ETH 2.0 out, it will be a runaway success.
