I was a big believer in chainlink in 2017. Because of various reasons, I did sell all my 20k back in 2017. I never bought back but always thought about it, over these years. I was stupid because chainlink used to be my favorite project in 2017. It was all I ever talked about to friends and family (I sold mine but at least some of the friends I told about it did hold onto their portions).
I made a terrible mistake and I thought the future would play out exactly as I saw it in my head. I still thought chainlink was going to be big, but I thought other projects would do better and that chainlink would also moon but not as much as the other projects. I don't know, maybe those are just excuses.
You might think I am a drooling idiot? Let me tell you, I am not, I did graduate with a master's degree in computer science which makes me at least above average. And I remember back in 2017 I was one of the only ones on this board that believed in the project, before assblaster and all the other stuff happened.
Nothing to do about it now except trying to buy back in, which I might do, but I am just tired of throwing money at crypto, I was basically starving as a student when I put everything I had into crypto. I want to spend some money on myself for once, get some nice clothes, buy an apartment and all that jazz.
Anyways, I understand now that making the right decisions are not so easy, especially if you are too emotional and do not understand the importance of diversification.
If you put it all in chainlink you have been lucky, you should not fool yourself thinking you are somehow smart, because if you do you will get burned as I did, just in some other way.

Your pride prevented you from buying back in a long time ago.
The longer you delay, the worse it’s going to be.

Are you me? I sold my presale stack early too. Same story, CS masters degree, got my friends and family into it, loved it and shilled it on /biz/. It sucks knowing I could have been a multimillionaire if I just held longer.

You're probably right. Fuck. I should get at least a 1000 so I have something.

Hey man, yeah it sucks. It has made me a little depressed from time to time, but I just have to keep going and try to find success elsewhere.

I was unironically one of the first few people, maybe including you, who shilled Chainlink to /biz/ in 2017. I started some memes too. Now in 2020 I think Chainlink is a scam and I fight off Linkers and their cult.

Well let me tell you something you don't want to hear, you're a dumbass

I only have a bs in comp sci but I've held my >100k stack since 2017 because I understand the entire success of blockchain as an enterprise solution has a hard dependency on decentralized Oracles

And instead of selling i bought more and even took out loans to buy at some point. Just admit you got it wrong and grow from your mistakes

I'm not a dumbass, far from it. It is still highly likely that I'll be unfathomably rich in a couple of years, just not from chainlink. I have invented algorithms that will revolutionize the world in a couple of years. My name will end up in the history books because of what I have done for the world economy, I might even get the Nobel Prize. What about your name Mr smartass, what did you ever do in your life that was exceptional? Where will your name end up?

I am not a dumbass. I made a mistake. It is not the same thing. And of course, I do understand the importance of decentralized oracles, but it is not the end all be all, there are many other interesting areas and applications of blockchain tech, that happened to caught my eye and for emotional shitty dumbass reasons I decided to ignore chainlink while exploring those.
