You won't be happy. Trust me, working out its all a load of shit. It's not happiness. Focusing so hard on making the deal of a lifetime isn't either. It's devotion that takes it out of you. You want happiness. Simplicity and focusing on the things that matter, like family and friends. Wealth may make things easier and when things are easier it makes you happy but total devotion won't bring you happiness.

Bad timing. The crisis was extended by bank fraudulence that they clearly describe in the movie lol. And he had to close his positions a little early or risk bank insolvency meaning he’d get nothing at all. Burry still did the best, FrontPoint 2nd best, and the two guys in their garage who were just tailing along predictably went 2.5x since their positions were poorly done
