You should probably do everything in your power to cut costs first, and see if there is any moonlighting opportunities. Something to subsist on until times are better.
I live far out in the European woods, so if I was in your situation I would turn to poaching for a while. Freeze the meat and offer what I don't eat (game is expensive as fuck here) to my landlord. Fur I would sell low key to the local tailor.

You can still get $600 a week from the feds. File for unemployment from your state, they'll deny your state-level claim but pass your application up to the Feds.
