My SQQQ friends,

I will not sell SQQQ until I have made a profit.
I will not be easily swayed by the number line going up.
I would rather lose money on a reasonable expectation than commit my losses on an unreasonable shift.

This was a nothingburger when the chinese were being barricaded into their houses.
It was a nothingburger when Iranian mass graves were visible from satellite imaging.
It was a nothingburger when the Italians had a military convoy endlessly transporting the dead.
And now its a nothingburger when american deaths sit at 12k with 200k being considered a best case scenario.

I wake up and it hurts, but there are a lot of others hurting a lot more than me.
You wont fool me, green line, i can see right the fuck through you.

there wasnt 6+ million Americans unemployed, a 2 trillion dollar stimulus package passed, an incompetent administration, walking dead medical community with improvised medical gear, and an extremely discreet, highly infectious, and substantially more deadly virus making the rounds around the planet 5 years ago.

The writing is on the wall, whether you know how to read or not.
Im not gonna submit to the mob mentality of those who lost a massive amount of money and are desperate to not miss a bottom, 1 week into America topping as pandemic central.

Exactly.

They are calling a plateau as deaths in NY increase and businesses are shutting down. The only bullish argument is that it could be "priced in." I work in big tobacco and am shut down for at least the next month. Just wait when until people can't buy cigarettes, alcohol, etc.

I sold my SQQQ today after losing 50% over the last month. You realize something crucial about SQQQ when you hold it for so long. That even if the economy goes to absolute shit, it will never reach anything close to $1000. Not even $40 is my bet

It's really going to depend on how much government money goes where, but yes it could reach $1000. The month that "UBI" stops is going to be a disaster, and when 2021 tax returns come in much lower than expected, or people actually owe more in taxes because of the money, the general populace is gonna flip.

That was what the first pair shows, yes. The second pair of charts show what happens in our actual market. Everytime the gov prints and that tiny bump goes up, its 3x as powerful. So that jagged red line going down will actually be a flatline on SQQQ. I bought SQQQ at a time that I thought was good. I didn’t make anything at all, I was always on negative. For SQQQ to reach 1000$ you would need a straight shot down without BRRRRR at all (won’t happen)

Sh is an etf that shorts the s&p and has much much less decay but not that much gains. You can comfortably hold it for months i suppose. a meme ETF for a meme market. we're 3 weeks into a nationwide shutdown, what do you want me to do? I could invest in a fart and enough people would panic purchase it into a profit that I could turn around and lose if i blink too slowly. The market is volatile as fuck and its a gamble to figure out when the market is up or down. Do you really think betting against a bunch of American companies during an American lockdown during the highest unemployment rate and largest bailout in the history of America is just a meme?

I'm betting on the outcome of the stock market from a long term perspective, not which direction the line goes on a day-to-day basis. I'm already deep in the hole but you gotta bleed to start healing.

I dont know how much I'll make but I am 11 bucks down right now, but if I back out now and accept the loss 2 weeks in, i'm not only a limp dick but soft skulled too.
I could sell the high and buy the low which was my original intention, but im already past the point of super selling the low so I'm holding because one swift volatile shift any direction can fuck me a lot. I'd rather hold and regret it then sell and really regret it.

We haven't even begun to begin, is the theory i'm operating on.

I'm going to put this here, so perhaps some anon won't make the same mistake I did with this stock. Here is what "decay" is.

I have two ETFs. They track index A. The first ETF is a 1x, simply tracks A in a 1:1 manner. Now, I have the second ETF. It is a 2x, so it goes up twice the amount of A. Both trade at $10. Index A goes up 25% one day. The first ETF goes up to $12.5 and the second goes up to $15. Now, the next day, index A goes down 20%. The first ETF, simply goes back to $10, but the second ETF goes to $9. It now is trading at a dollar less than two days ago. Now, run that again with a 3x. $17.50 the first day, all the way down to $7 on the second day. That is the "decay" in these leveraged ETFs.

I didn't do my research and lost money, thinking decay was some fucking quirk of the ETF and the tracking algorithm. I figured I would put this here, not to discourage anyone from this stock (I think we are going further down the cliff in this market) but to explain to some anon that might read this why leveraged stocks can be risky.

Thank you for the information.
I am really new to this and i got into trading about 2 months before everything went really bad, so im a rookie whos just ended up losing a bunch of money so far.

I dont expect to hold it for very long. i want to make my money back and get out. i would consider that a win at the least. I'm thinking this has no choice but to go bad, and the only way it will avoid going that route of "everything is fucked" is that all the information we are getting is actually calculated misinformation and then everything goes up, or a complete reversal of the situation despite everything and everyone. Either way there'll be blood im guessing.
