Bitcoin (btc) is a scam. Just because it went up before in the last halvings doesn't mean "IT KEEP GOIN UP!!!" retards.

The only thing that would make it go higher than 2017 numbers is finding more bag holders.
This is unlikely. A lot of normies/boomers bought the high last time and lost their shirt. If the dollar gets devalued sure it might rise, but not in actual spending power.

Crypto it isn't really money (very difficult to buy/trade, fees imposed by exchanges) and you can't use it anywhere.

It's not a store of value. It's not gold, if society collapses, mad max is going to give 0 shits about your crypto.

It's a cool technology that is hard to make too much of/print. But it isn't really worth anything intrinsically and is incredibly inefficient to support/maintain (massive electricity costs).

Most of all, banks/governments would never let it replace the dollar. You really think they would allow something to exist that would threaten there ability to print and spend unlimited money?

My guess is, the govt will regulate it/outright ban it if it ever gains mainstream use. Then overnight it will go to $0.
