I’ve endured 2 years of sybil fud, toilet fud, JSON parser memes, fake google pnd, 700k dumps, literal dump to zero, fake partnerships (looking at you MOAB), the same slides over and over, stiff competition arriving (BAND, Tellor, UMAprotocol). I’ve endured it all, but this was the straw that broke the camels back. The Link dream is dead friends. I mean if you can make something of yourself than go for it. The degree is a fallback. Owning a business is the same thing as working a normal job, except you work twice as many hours for half the pay, and if anything fucks up you're the one who has to pay for it.

The main thing you'll learn from a degree is to finish what you started. Also if you have trouble getting your business off the ground in Japan, the degree would probably help you get a job over there. It's your life so live it how you want, but imho once you start a degree you may as well finish, otherwise you completely wasted your time.

You're really young so 1.5 years seems like a lifetime. I'm older now and the years fly by. My recommendation to you is to complete your degree. If you're unhappy, maybe take a semester or two off but you really ought to finish your degree. At the very least, it would serve as some sort of fallback in case you decide to change your mind regarding your life's goals.

It'll be more difficult to return to college and complete the degree if you wait too long. Right now, all the previous classes you've taken are still relatively fresh on your mind.

I'm a good looking Scandi (tall, blonde, blue eyes, decent face). I have no problems with women. Even less so in Japan. As I said, I used to live in Japan for half a year. When I was living there girls would constantly hit on me, ask for my line (jap messaging app), eye fuck me in public etc.

So I was in your position, more or less. It's been a year and a half since I started living in Japan.

If I'll tell you one thing, it definitely has its off and on days, where some days you'll struggle in every aspect and regret everything and others you'll be happy because you got the chance to see the bigger picture of the world. When it comes to opportunities Japan offers, heavy. Lots of opportunities everyday, job is literally flooding. The country is opening up so whoever is there first will be able to be very strong, financially if cards played right. The first year I took an intensive Basic Japanese course, where I started from literally 0, and in one year I generally know how to get by, it's not that hard.

However, keep in mind that you will always be alone. People are in Japan for different reasons, but for me I came for the adventure, to explore and make my world bigger. Most people came for work, others came cuz they're disgusting weebs. But generally, you'll probably always be alone sitting home, even if there are endless things to do. The other thing is it's fucking stressful my man, it saps all your energy to speak with these species. I know the language and my vocab is pretty good, but I still can't manage to communicate, they're just different species, and I can't get it.

TL;DR
I wrote so much because I was desperate for this info before I decided I would go, but I didn't. I do not regret, but remember that you'll be alone, no one to trust your back to. The people you wished to meet weren't the people that you wished for. It's stressful but it's a long journey, and it's fun. Go for it if you want

Yea, the Japanese economy is not looking too bright. Also, their corporate culture and work hours are horrible. Luckily, I won't be looking for work there.
> And if you're not asian living there, you may or may not get stabbed to death by nationalists.
From my experience, there are more Japanese who hate other Asians (mainly Chinese and Koreans) than westerners. As long as you don't act obnoxious and try your best to follow Japanese customs, people treat you well. I've only met a single Japanese guy who was "racist" towards me.
