The chance that this will fail at adoption is pretty high, but I truly believe that they know what they are doing. The complexity in their answers to the AMA questions says a lot. There are not a lot of people that are willing to put in the effort to understand their grand scheme (because it's complex), but everyone I know that does has been completely red pilled.

Out of all the coins that deserve a suicide stack, this is the best candidate for me. Let alone their mcap in combination with the possibility of CB.

they also increased the amount of rsv they can collateralize from ~100K to 3M+ and this number will continue to increase over time.

this recent black swan event was also a big eye opener for supporters of MKR who will soon realize the potential of rsv when it comes to the future of stablecoins.

it really depends on what you mean by adoption. mass adoption is always going to be a difficult task, but i dont think the team is trying to bite off more than they can chew, they're going to focus primarily on the app and making it a positive user experience in the countries they're targeting. these countries will arguably be hit the hardest by this recent coronavirus event and we'll see a lot more people coming out of the woodwork to try and send aid/help them as we get a better picture of what's actually going on and if reserve plays their cards right they can be part of the relief effort in the coming year(s) using their app for remittances and as a store of value against the coming wave of increased inflation.
