18163592 No.18163592 [Reply] [Original]

>A company in Austin, Texas is looking to dock pay from workers who receive government stimulus checks, according to an anonymous employee.
>“The form says they are preemptively deducting funds from our paychecks. That number is based on what they’re anticipating the government relief fund to be,” the worker told the outlet.

That's interesting. Companies are the ones struggling the most here as employed wagies are still getting paid and unemployed wagies got a big check before being fired, but the businesses are quite literally not getting in any money. It's not surprising that someone would at least try this, I'd love to see if it holds up though.

You can't not pay some one for hours they worked.

I'm not cucked, I'm being realistic. I'm a wagie myself, work for a bank actually. I'm getting my paycheck. In fact, my bank is so based that they actually announced that they will even pay us early next month. Most likely to project strength and liquidity to our customers. But that's me getting a paycheck. I work in risk so I know all about the money going in, out and in the reserve. Let's just say it's not pretty. While my company is paying me 100%, they are making per day like 20% of what they usually make.

And yet if the bank flopped do you think it is the bankers and the CEOs who are going to feel the heat from an economic depression? No. those people will be fine. It is the working class people of the world and, some rungs of the middle class who will feel the economic effects of such a disaster. Not these companies. These companies aren't loosing thier homes and their livelyhoods.

If those individuals don't suffer it is because of their savings that are unrelated to the current economic situation. I'm talking about right now. If you are getting paid then you should know that you are getting paid despite your company making no money.

Do you think all $2.2 trillion went toward Trumpbux for everyone? There is around $500 billion set aside for large businesses (like the one mentioned in the article), as well as $367 billion for small businesses. Even if every man, woman, and child in the US got $1200, it still wouldn't be as much as is being put toward keeping businesses alive. But just ignore all that right?

This is a good observation but ultimately irrelevant. You are getting trumpbux + paycheck. Your company is getting trumpbox alone. Not to mention that the finances of a corporation are more complex than an individual's. Beyond that, you should know that you will suffer a lot more if your company goes under than if you don't get trumpbux.

What a terrific way of sacrificing long term talent for short term savings. Serious and dilligent applicants will not apply.

Good thing the employee bravely decides not to say the name of the company, so the company does not receive any negative feelings.
