Probably not but maybe. We've hit the triple whammy of correcting a bubble, a two-six week national labor strike, and an oil price war. A and C seem to be priced in but B is the determiner of how far this falls as we're unaware of whether the system that is currently in place can handle this.

there is no way to measure the end of the exponential growth curve and point a place where the growth will slow down

One thing to consider, is the CARE act was signed. So the money is going to start going out, across the board, fast. As someone I know who sells percentage points for a living, a lot of money is going to be moved around because of it, which was already happening, but now people know where that stimulus is headed, and companies that aren't getting any (cruise lines, etc.) will be sold off, and companies directly benefiting will be bought. So it's gonna churn. A lot. Next week it's probably gonna bounce around a lot, but the unemployment numbers are in the rear view mirror, it's the start of a new business quarter, and the bad reports coming soon for Q1 are priced in.

My best guess? No fucking clue. Too many moving parts. But I don't think we'll see growth in any healthy respect for a while. We still have a lot to churn through to get past this. It's gonna take months for this to start shaking out.
If Trump wins in November, that will set up 2021 to be a pretty good fucking year. Barring any more events like this, of course. The recession everyone was dooming and glooming about is here, and in a year, we should be well on our way up. The cycle starts over.

Think about what this means. Your bonds are worthless. The government gives you millions for them. That is printing money. It’s making worthless assets worth millions so your company doesn’t collapse.

The thing about the free market is that there is supposed yo be creative destruction for it to work at all. All the people whining about socialism are usually also for “saving the stock market” aka socializing failure. This goes for intellectual property right too by the way. When chinks can make an entirely cloned Rolex dealers have a hard time telling apart from the real deal and it costs 400 dollars that is the free market working. When they clone airplanes and phone tech for pennies on the dollar that is the entire promise of capitalism realized.
All government regulations and law creep over the years does nothing but ensure the largest corporations cannot be competed with or undercut. And funnily enough that’s what the Bernie Sanders people complain about.

Think about this for two minutes mate. Company might collapse due to a corporate debt problem. Government throws the taxpayer under the bus. Stock that had risks is now fine. Price goes up.
> while the market tanks further.
This is still possible though right now it seems the government will sacrifice the future of all zoomers to fix corporate debt issues.
However the oil markets could be fucked. They’re at unsustainable levels for everyone already. Demand is dropped like a rock. Even with filling up strategic reserves demand is dying. Oil products have shelf life and can’t be stored indefinitely. Storage is maxing out. But the production can’t ever just stop. Too many players need that revenue stream to exist at all.
So the only thing they can do is pump more and try to sell it for less to get any money at all. It’s a doom spiral until someone takes it on the jaw and cuts back production plus demand picks back up.

Buuut if it goes on too long several companies are over leveraged with debt, shale companies in particular (that also require higher prices to be profitable). These might just die. And that might even be the strategy from Russia here. Kill US shale.

Buuuut, there’s a risk now that what began as a power play is out of control of everyone involved due to the death spiral and max storage problems. The cartel can’t really afford to just shut down production to manufacture a price increase.
I really don’t know what’s in store for oil. Some speculate the worst scenario has oil have a negative price. Since storage costs money they will have to pay others to unload the godforsaken barrels.

What Saudi Arabia and Russia are doing right now is pushing for a mass extinction of the North American oil industry.

They figure if they can push oil prices so low that people simply can't afford NOT to buy Saudi/Russian oil, that they'll be able to break America completely.

I think we're going to test the ALL TIME LOW, at least inflationed adjusted, of $18.50.

The nominal low of like $10...well...Jesus Christ.....

Times the tesla rip up, then perfectly times the top and switches to puts? And makes millions sending the sub viral right when a book is released by the subs creator.
>So a self title god of the sub just so happens to be the biggest success story of the sub, happens to have the sub in the username so any media attention can always point back to wsb, and it all happens the same time that a book is released? Both guys non existent for years then both appear the same time? And who is the one to check proof of the legitimaticy of the trades? Well none other than the creator himself.
>Why would the creator of the sub who hardly had any activity and definitely didnt do simple mod tasks like fact checking, be the one to verify the trades were real?
>Why did they appear again at the same time? Why would some idiot who made tens of millions care so much to he acknowledged instead of enjoying his money? Why are we lied to about posts not reaching all when they still do. Who could stand to profit bigly from a made up sub millionaire that doubles the subs audience in a month then gets sponsorships to have a trading contest only bringing more attention to the sub which would bring even more money to the creators pockets. It's a cool move and might get some revenue in, but it's nothing game changing that will increase its market penetration, everyone who wants a ford already has a Ford in my opinion. At least the same can't be said about Teslas. The stock price says it all, it's the same case with GE, you may be the one that picks the bottom for these companies, but they've been falling knives for *2* decades. Chances are this isn't the bottom and you're buying something that will continue to fall. Failure breeds failure.

GE aviation and consumer products will see a big hit with these economic headwinds and so will ford. No reason to be particularly bullish on them, even if GE has done some good cutting dead weight, it has been at the expense of shareholders. You want good companies with beaten down share prices, not bad companies with beaten down share prices. Invest in junk and more than likely you will get junk.

So what happens with my SNSS bags once the stock gets delisted from the NASDAQ? I still keep them in my brokerage account, right? If they get sold at some point in the future, in year or maybe even later, what happens then with the stock? This OTC trading is totally new to me.

Probably a different theory but I just read about this in local Chinese newspaper finance section:

The focus of gravity wave theory is that celestial bodies such as black holes can produce gravity waves during collisions, the latter representing significant energy. In the investment world, the strength of the buyer or seller can be understood as two black holes. When they are evenly matched after the collision, the stock price will remain unchanged for a short time; but when the buyer's strength overwhelms the seller, the stock price can skyrocket.

In addition, the foundation behind the theory of gravity waves is Einstein's classic theory of relativity, whose formula is E = mc^2, which means that the source of energy (E) is matter (m) and speed of light (c). The first chapter of my work "Hedge Dismantling King 2" already mentioned the relationship between relativity and investment. In simple terms, the bet for investment stocks is matter (m), and the rate at which the bet enters the market is c, and the relevant investment return is energy (E). In other words, investors need to invest heavily in explosively growing stocks to get the desired return. Of course, in the current volatile market conditions, controlling bets is the way to win.

First of all, we here will have a good laugh for a few days. Secondly, you can choose to keep the shares and just sit on them in hope of something happening or OTC sell them for like 0.01 a share depending on the price the buyer is willing to pay for the shares

Does buying options turn you into a neurotic freak obsessively checking futures and prices every few seconds? I just DCA'ed to the bottom and I'm averaged out to the bottom of the dip now. I'm still up thousands of dollars even after yesterday, but if it goes lower I'll put more in, I still have more than half of what I'm willing to put in the market. Sure, if it goes up right now I won't make 100% of what I could theoretically made but it seems like a small price to pay for not being turned into an emotional wreck like options fags.. I'm cool as a cucumber throughout ups and downs, why doesn't anyone else do this? You'd be able to relax a little more

The issue you will run into is that google will make up 1/3 of your portfolio. You could just buy QQQ shares instead of individual tech stocks or just skip out on google. The defense stocks might also be a little overweight so maybe just choose 1 or 2 of them. But I mean it's feasible to do something like that. You won't see insane growth and might only be up 30 dollars on some days, but if you continue to DCA it'll be money. It will serve as motivation to continue investing. Better than losing your money on options or biomemes.

>GameStop, the video game retailer, sent employees in Massachusetts back to work on Friday — despite the statewide order shutting down all nonessential businesses. But instead of allowing customers inside, the store is doing curbside pickup, and employees have been given a set of specific and highly unusual instructions to let people pay at the door, according to a manager at a local store.
>Workers have been told to wrap a plastic bag around one hand to protect it from exposure to the virus, open the door a crack, and take the customer’s credit card, the manager said. Employees are then to run the card with a hand still encased in the bag, flip the bag inside out, leaving the card inside, put the purchase in the bag, and hand it back through the door.
>Customers can also order and pay for products online and pick them up at the door.
>The instructions e-mailed from a district leader to managers on Monday almost seemed like a prank, said the 24-year-old manager, who asked to remain anonymous because he feared retaliation.
>The message, titled “Chip card best practices," says: “Lightly (you want to be able to get it off easily) tape a Game Stop plastic bag over your hand and arm. Do not open the door all the way —keep the glass between you and the guest’s face — just reach out your arm.”
>"It's like they're an animal or a pet," said the manager.
>The manager said it was “infuriating” that he is being sent to work at a video game store and and being told to protect himself with a plastic bag while a pandemic is raging.
>GameStop is not considered an essential service, according to the state, and is not allowed to offer curbside pickup. Violators may face criminal penalties or a civil fine of $300 per violation. The manager said the district leader explicitly told him that the store had permission from the state to open.

You have to elevate this to a global conspiracy since now like 1/3-1/2 of the population on the planet is currently under varying degrees of lockdown (voluntary to enforced by military).
I just can't drink enough koolaid to get on board with that idea. I do think that testing is the real effective end game. To be able to pick out cases (antigen) and find those who are immune (antibody) and thus can go back to work. And of course that assumes that reinfection isn't a possibility (China seems worried about it that they reclosed theaters).
All states that dealt with the problem seriously and tested the every living shit out of everyone - South Korea and Singapore - appears to have mitigated a lot of the triage going on with those that didn't or didn't take it seriously (Italy, Spain, and now the US).

For every dollar the underlying goes down, the 3x leveraged ETF goes down 3 dollars.
It rebalances every night, let's say you buy $1.000 worth of that thing, and the underlying drops by 16%. Your position is now down 50% for that day and it rebalances. The next day, the underlying goes up 16%. Your position goes up 50%, but 50% of 500 is only +250. So you're now at $750. So even though it moved the same amount in each direction you still got fucked. If you held a 1x ETF you would have been at break even.

That's why you can't hold these long term. They decay if the price keeps bouncing back and forth.
