The stomach of the economy is split wide open with it guts pouring out onto the floor. I work in a suburb of Dallas, and my job is still essential, so I'm still going in. There's a great pub about five minutes from my office that's closed but still doing takeout. Owner had a special where you got to choose two types of barbecue (brisket, sausage, or pulled pork), two sides, and a salad for $22.00. I wish you could have seen the amount of barbecue this guy was giving out. Several pounds, easily four or five meals if you aren't a fat ass. The look in his eyes was a knife in the heart. He's just trying to make something, anything, to help cover the cost of rent, but even with those proceeds, he's still convinced the place is going to shutter. Yes, he's still "employed," but he's on the knife's edge just like tens of millions of other people. These dumbfucks are obsessed with "money printer go brrrr" and a line on a stock chart that has absolutely no fucking bearing on reality. I seriously don't see how this doesn't end in mass violence and bloodshed.

Many wealthy and informed boomers are very scared. This has really woken them up to the contagion disaster of a cruise ship. I expect the demand for cruising to take a maaaaaajor hit, and I don’t know that the next generation are going to have the same desire to blow money on cruises.
