>>18085796
>ok so you are talking "perennial philosophy" sort of stuff?
yeah kinda, hermeticism, theosophy, gnosticism, neo-platonists, rosicrucianism, that kinda vein, but also I recognize a lot of truths one can extrapolate from regional pagan folklore, with the gods being representations of spiritual forces/phenomena. Also there are surprisingly many good concepts in Hinduism, even if the representation is very explicit and culturally painted in an attempt to convey the concepts. Also Daoism interests me a lot.

>how do you view God? similar to the Christian God? are you a pantheist?
I would say this is the closest kind of thing
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Monad_(philosophy)
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Absolute_(philosophy)
but even then rather than adhering to any concept concretely I utilize those concepts as well crafted tools/bodies/systems of theological work, undertaken by humanity's collective genuine spiritual pursuits to try to help my own understanding of divine mysteries.

Tell me, financial wizards, is this the bottom of this disaster? On one hand this stimulus seems like it will signal the start of what will at least appear to be a recovery where maybe it'll still go lower, but not at the magnitude that we've seen. On the other hand, with quarantines likely to be in place for the next couple of months you'd think the economy would keep going down. Either way, it feels like we're just staving off the inevitable as the market is still over inflated

they underestimated the damage of allowing big companies to go bust, and they are trying to avoid that this time around.

The chart that I posted only shows that one variable: deal rejected, deal passed.
This chart might be more useful, it also shows when Lehman and Stearns imploded

And when I put one offer in of course an unknown amount change to my bids value likely HFTs who put in the order probably before me if I understand how they work correctly. It doesn't matter at this point. If you can hold for months now you will make a return. It won't be a maximum profit but you (and few people) will predict when that will be. The only thing you don't want to fall for is bull traps.
This is not the rebound. All the fundamentals are screaming red and firms are being valued for basically having pulses. There is nothing healthy or sustainable about any of this.

Republican and Democratic senators have been arguing over jobless benefits in the titanic spending legislation. The plan includes direct payments of $1,200 to most American adults and aid to help small businesses pay workers. But Republican senators Tim Scott, Rick Scott, Ben Sasse and Lindsey Graham said the bill's major expansion of jobless benefits provided "a strong incentive for employees to be laid off instead of going to work".They said they would oppose the bill unless it was fixed to ensure workers could not have a higher income while unemployed than in a job.Senator Bernie Sanders, who is running for the Democratic presidential nomination, said he would oppose the bill unless the Republicans dropped their objections. Both Republican Senate leader Mitch McConnell and Senate Democratic leader Chuck Schumer had agreed on the bill.

Reading the links in the OP I have a question.
"Be aware that a stop loss can be triggered much lower in case of low liquidity. Gaps are common with stocks, especially after earnings. If you buy a stock at 15 and put a stop loss at 14.5, it doesn't mean you will automatically sell it at 14.5. If the next day the stock drops 50%, your stop will be triggered at the first available bid price at 7.50$."

How exactly is this happening? Is that meaning the next day at opening the stock is now at $7.5? Can you turn off your stop sale the before closing that day to avoid it selling at $7.5? This all depends on the liquidity? Anyone can better explain liquidity? Reading up on it.

Low liquidity means nobody is looking to buy at $x. So if your shares start losing value, they're becoming illiquid due to decreased demand. It's the inverse for liquid stocks. These are correlated with supply/demand as well as market caps and P/E ratios and speculative equity. Bad news makes shit low liquidity, price (equity) must decline in order to sell it. Then there's shit like where a bank defaults and that's illiquid, nobody will touch it.

>> No.18089721

>>18089006
There is such a thing as halts and premarket. A stock can close at 15 and open at 7.5 the next day thanks to premarket trading. Liquidity is the measure of how easily you can enter and exit a position. To use a real world example, money is liquid but a shopping mall isn't. You can trade money in quickly but it can take years to sell a mall, hence, money is more liquid than malls
