if your dollars keep getting worth more and more, you wouldnt take on a loan to buy a car. first of all, you could sell that car for less and less dollars, second of all your debt will get bigger and bigger. a great, viable option during deflation is to just cash out all of your money and bury it under a tree. the economy needs money to be pumped through it constantly to work, if nobody buys anything it crashes.

The real issue is what goes down first: my earnings or my spending. If my earnings go down first then I'll lose purchasing power but if my spending goes down first I'll gain it.
