Repost bc untimely switch. The fact that there is bailouts points to this being an absolutely corrupt and socialist country. Trump and the Fed may want bailouts under the guise of "economic stability" but the real question is to look at how they themselves are affected.

Americans work for dollars which are controlled by the Federal Reserve. The fact that they think the markets are even somewhat free shows that they are extremely mislead and lack understanding. America IS a socialist country and one of the WORST ones to be in by my understanding. At least in other socialistic countries you see some return on your taxes. In America? Welfare, poor budgetary decisions by government, higher taxes, bailouts, etc. etc. The list goes on. American's labors are being exploited and stolen and realistically other options are what I'm looking at. I like America. I grew up here. But a sinking ship is a sinking ship. Under no circumstance should ANY company be bailed out for being levered up too much. The bailout DOES produce economic stability but at WHAT cost?

The Fed clearly states it's purpose is to keep the economy stable, maximize employment, etc etc. It does NOT state that it's mission is to benefit the working/producing class. The country is dying and the bandaids are only prolonging it's death. You can have maximum employment and people working 2-3 jobs just to get by. You can have a "stable" economy with people living paycheck to paycheck. The American dream is being murdered by those who run it, and their darkened thinking has created long term issues for this country.

I myself am upset as AAL was negative 200:1 debt to equity. Meaning the equity existing, a great amount is owed. The fact that the government and politicians think they should be bailed out is absolutely reprehensible, abhorrent, and a complete disregard for what is just and what is right. Unholy and devilish in every way. People don't need the dollar to live. We don't need credit or debt to get by.

The fact that the government has pushed for continual self expansion at the expense of the people who support it has shown it's true intentions. It no longer supports good and Trump is a crook all the more for it.

The thing about evil is, if you don't address it right away, it continues to grow and fester like mold. We got to see that firsthand in 2008. But airlines? They aren't even that economically essential. Even Jeff Bezo was said to have been attempting to contact officials, probably for some support. It's dead and dying and these people have exhibited no regard for the lives of their workers.

This is too much and enough. The day of the boomer will likely last another 15 years and we will be all the worse off for it. Time to put up or leave, or accept your future being peddled to "swine". Disgusting.

Maybe. Wide range on the crab though. If indexes do back to back flat-ish days you're going to see a very aggressive pump thereafter. Maybe trap maybe not but it will be swing tradeable. If sell signal occurs at a lower high off that pump, i short.

Hear me out.

After Corona-chan, there are going to be a lot of planes being sold as insolvent airlines are forced out of business and liquidate their assets. This means that there's going to be little market for new Boeing aircraft when you can buy second hand.
Boeing is going to struggle to sell aircraft after the 737 max controversy AND most airlines getting extremely cash strapped after the Corona issue. This sucks for Boeing.
Boeing's brand is tainted thanks to the 737 max. This sucks for Boeing. They can't even get the planes off of the ground because they're grounded
Boeing has a contract with NASA, that's going terribly. This sucks for Boeing.
Boeing has a global supply chain. Tariffs and Corona limits gutting imports is even worse for Boeing.

BBBoeing is an Aerospace company building planes that can't fly to airline companies that can't do flights using materials they can't get financed with cash they don't have.

The only way out for Boeing is a taxpayer bailout, and the USA might have a little bit of a cash issue.

Also expect starbucks stock to go down. Every employee ever hired is assigned a number, and that number they have is how new to the company. IE if your number is 17535 you were the 17535th person hired. Right now they're in the 2900000s. They've hired about 50,000 people in the last year because there stocks been going up. About 1/6th of the people SB has hired in the last 50 years were hired last year and they've opened over 30,000 locations globally as of last year.
Starbucks is not making profits, and everywhere is closing. They're desperate to stay open, by virtue of "get in, get out" and converting stores to DTO only. Their stock has gone down almost 50% in the last 4 months. And they're just going to keep going down based off all the benefits they have to pay for those employees. They're spread thin and being backed into a corner.
If you're buying Puts, buy SB.
And whenever corona is gone, buy calls. This shit is going to go through the roof.

Airline put holders, I have concieved a plan.
So as you may know AAL is one of the most exposed airlines in terms of debt, poor financial support, etc. How they are alive is atrocious to me, but that's besides the point. So here's the deal.
Earlier today, Trump announced that airlines will likely be getting help. Is this bad? Sort of but not really. Now AAL being as financially unsound as it is, this was a perfect storm for them and the amount of actual bailout they need is considerable, enough so that the Fed/gov may have to reconsider helping them out. Other airlines not so much from what I've seen. But AAL, just look st their 10K and financials.
So the plan is to wait until they report terrible earnings, hoping the Fed does not help them out before hand, and be ready to sell shortly after. We need to count on the lag from the Fed response to plummet the stock.
Trump obviously wants to cushion in a second presidency, at the cost of the taxpayer of course (tfw voted for him), so be careful and watchful towards what he does. This is all theoretical of course, but is derived off of past actions and behavioral observances, so this way the presumed current loss no longer exists, and we can still profit. Manage risk accordingly.

looking for mispriced premiums is HOW to play long options, so good on you

that said, should we turn around massively, no matter what you will get IV crushed, even if you get a call on the right direction (unless youre WAY OTM).
ideally you would limit your vega with a spread, or even better a credit spread, but dont even fuck around with new stuff rn
im just scalping myself. havent held overnight in like a fucking month now

as for meme flu, theres no way it isnt priced in already imo
between my whole thesis ive had on corporate debt and the insanity of leveraged stock buybacks, combined with the concerning recent activity from the fed, i believe we are headed for a MASSIVE credit crunch.
like fucking biblical

thanks for the input. I have the feeling that there is a huge amount of collusion between industry leaders, bankers, and the administration to prop up the market right now. Thats what that bullshit presentation friday with trump and all the ceo's was about - pumping it at the last minute to get the weekly candle greener. That makes me think it isn't priced in, its super bad, and a few major institutions that are in bed with the gov have been given the go ahead to ladder out of their positions slowly and dump it on retail investors and lower tier institutions with the understanding they will back the government throughout this crisis. My gut feeling is we are going to return to the 1995 trendline, which would take us to 2009-2010 valuations. I could be wrong, but thats what it feels like to me and that is what i'm going to target since its an amount of money i can afford to have big balls with.

Inflation remains a very remote possibility, but the banks are not going to explode any time soon, at least not the big ones. The old liquidity/capital requirements mean they're gonna make it through just fine. It's the non-financial corporations and small banks which are going to explode. Kind of a mix of the 80s savings and loans crisis and the subprime mortgage crisis but with corporate bonds. A deep recession or depression is almost guaranteed at this point, and we won't hit bottom until investors let go of fantasies of a swift recovery driven by a miracle cure or something. The damage is literally already done.
