Having worked backroom retail let me assure you.
You don't want someone else doing your shopping unless it's your care worker. Nothing gets washed ever as there's no requirement to do so and they are paid minimum.

Ok... go ahead and hire some gig economy literal crackhead to do your shopping for you. I'm sure he will take proper precautions in the store in touching anything that may be contaminated and then touching your food. I'm also sure he will pick out good produce and not just any old rotten or over ripe shit. He probably wont do anything malicious to your shit either because, well, hes just an overall bad person.
