Kek even in here Estonia everybody is buying toilet paper even though it's made in places like Poland and Finland. They are literally just following the hype. The super markets even put out more toilet paper the next day, idk what the fuck are people thinking.

it's a domino effect, somebody fills up their cart and somebody else sees them doing it and thinks "fuck, theres not gonna be any left for me" now multiply that across billions of people

same thing is happening with hand sanitizer. more sensible things to stockpile like rice and beans are also getting hit but not half as hard because a lot of people panic buying aren't really thinking clearly about what they're doing and will actually need. they are just reacting
