Bullshit, like someone else said, we'll have a cure by summer, stocks will be up by winter of next year. Crypto is dumping as predicted, just sooner and faster than expected due to corona. Shit will moon to $20k in the next 1-2 years. Cap this.

>Crypto is dumping as predicted, just sooner and faster than expected due to corona. Shit will moon to $20k in the next 1-2 years

why would it recover and moon? don't people love to claim that crypto/BTC is like a "digital gold", a great "store of value", and yet here we are in the midst of a crash and crypto is getting hit harder than anything.

It's useless. It isn't a good store of value (what value?), it isn't a good transactional currency in day-to-day life (slow, confusing for normies), and after all these years has failed to gain any mainstream adoption. Plus this isn't even touching on the fact that 99.9% of all shitcoins have failed to meet their whitepaper/roadmap proposals and essentially delivered absolutely nothing of substance.

Cryptocurrency is a massive joke and a ponzi scheme, where the only reason to be in this space is so you can speculate and hope some sucker buys your bags for more than you paid. That's literally it.

>> No.17757071

Yolo calls rn on SPY and shit into 2021. It can go either one of two ways. The market continues shitting itself, and at that point, money won’t even matter. Or it’ll recover and you’ll get your money back + more. 2021 calls for SPY are SO fucking cheap rn. Nothing to lose imo. Also, don’t off yourself just cause of some numbers on a screen and a red background.

i called this a month ago

big advantage China has is that they're a dictatorship, so they can easily control their population by threat of violence.

Western countries cannot reasonably do this while also maintaining the guise of democracy and freedom.

China will eventually eliminate the virus (even if it means killing segments of their population) and then get back to business. Meanwhile the rest of the world will be stuck in a pereptual cycle of infection for at least 12-24 months and quickly fall behind economically.

I expect China to be the #1 economic superpower by 2025

It's really idiotic to do that to him. Point the finger at Trump for everything when it's been more of the left delivering all the fuck ups we see in the country. Yet, people will still vote in democucks. Not siding with Trump all that much either because I think the whole system is rigged and only made to make the rich richer and to keep them in power. It's been that way for over a century and for centuries dating back to ancient times. No one gives a fuck about helping the poor and working class out of their situation. You don't have to give free handouts and write a check, but stop hoarding power and printing money out of thin air to whenever you see fit.

tl;dr Trump has nothing to do with the crash. It's political warfare between different states. Presumably, this is China saying fuck you world we're gonna play it our way or you all will suffer.

And I'd agree with you, a lot of people here say it's gold. I don't. It's not tangible, and you are taking a risk, but it still holds value in the cooperate world to trade assets without having a middle banking system. Bitcoin has value even when it tanks, it's just not a consistent value, like am dollar that is always worth "1" of something. Bitcoin is essentially a service, and it's worth whatever companies are willing to pay. The tanking, is normies who bought bags. You have to keep moving it and not HODL. It is a scheme and not a traditional "investment," but technically that's also true of tangible investments as well.

This point is retarded sperging, but... What real value does gold have other than making jewelry? Silver is used in making technology, copper for pipes, but a lot of things people find precious are worth nothing in a world with a failed economy. Food and shelter comes first. People thought houses were with something because they were a necessity and tangible, look what good that did them.

That's exactly what Bitcoin is. A service. A payment service that cuts out middlemen. You pay a single fee to miners and your money is sent from one wallet to another. That's all it is. Now it is programmable so you can have applications running on your phone and there are Bitcoin ATM's. Using it to buy groceries and as a daily payment of goods or services is not a viable option until volatility of the price disappears and it stabilizes. That is nowhere near a possibility today. It will be years before that happens.

It was an experiment to see if decentralized money could work and it succeeded in doing that. However, it did not succeed in becoming electronic digital cash. It has become highly manipulated and highly centralized to those that bought in early and never sold. Bitcoin is a failed experiment in totality. Where Bitcoin has failed, another will take the positives and advance on those. Crypto is here to stay.
