The Fed literally loans “money” (Federal Reserve Notes) into existence. Federal Reserve Notes are paper promises backed by nothing of intrinsic value and they are only functioning as money because the government forces them on the public through legal tender laws. Federal Reserve Notes are referred to as dollars but are not. The definition of a dollar is a weight of silver (371 grains). To put it simply, the Fed is a group of banks running a national counterfeiting operation with the protection of the government.

You’re being systematically robbed and enslaved. The Fed’s counterfeiting causes the price of goods and services to rise which requires you to work harder in order to purchase them. Even with all the technological advances over the last century, you have to work just as hard or even harder to survive. The Fed is siphoning off the productivity that should have come from those technological advances. The reality is that you are working overtime solely for the benefit of some bankers who the government gave the power to conjure money out of nothing. In addition, the Fed’s counterfeiting finances the tools of the government’s oppression over you: the militarization of the police, the surveillance apparatus, and the endless wars.

If you cherish truth, freedom, justice, and want to leave behind a better world for your loved ones then you must…END THE FED! A free market, where each individual has the freedom to choose what form of money to use rather than one being forced on them, must be allowed to function in its place.

General long thesis is OPEC et al do their cut this week. Supply numbers continue to come in lighter than expectations as they have been doing this month. Industry ramps back up over several months, demand outpaces supply briefly causing a spike in oil/gas prices.

This is a long position and may take the better part of a year to play out. My time will be spent range trading the lows to get cost average as close to the eventual bottom as possible.

They have not started exploding yet. Currently we're in a "flight to safety mode" as people are valuing bonds more than stocks (bonds are perceived to be less risky). The flight to safety can eventually push bonds to zero, as financiers are taught that treasuries can be treated as a risk-free asset.

The idea is, that bonds today will be worth more than bonds in 1 year if interest rates go to 0. This pushes governments into even more debt.

The closer you get to a recession, money begins moving from long term bonds to short term bonds with an expectation of an interest rate spike. When it does spike, principal is lost, but not as much principal as what is lost in the stock market crash. That's the basic idea.

There's one interesting asset called a variable rate bond. A spiking variable rate bond does better in this case, as the borrower has to pay a higher interest rate after this. This is why no one talks about bonds and everyone talks about stocks.

should have raised rates then. stocks trail yield, not the opposite (as powell and trump thinks). lowerin rates creates a bid to notes and sale to stocks also usd gets weaker making dow less
attracting for foreign money. optimally usa would like to have 1-2% higher rates than europe and asia.

only when lower than ~0.4 it does not matter anymore that much. then all the bidding goes to
stocks and only fed, ecb and boj buy bonds
