If we're in the everything bubble, then the dollar is currently undervalued. Yes, that sounds retarded right?

The USD could uncontrollably appreciate in value, while everything else drops, forcing the Fed's hand into lowering interest rates or printing money. This happened in Japan in the 1990s, and they never recovered. It was a slow and painful recession afterwards. This actually forces a nation into accepting more immigrants.

Dollars will appreciate faster than assets will. It's very, very ugly, but this is what sell-offs can cause in the current interest rate environment, as people sell everything, and buy dollars. Bubbles encourage profit taking, which is essentially a race to the bottom.

The only weapon against this is for an interest rate spike, or hyperinflation, to fuck over the bears and bulls, causing a crash but effectively restarting the debt cycle, fixing the yield curve. It will be painful to both stockholders and bondholders.

That's the worst case scenario in my opinion. And of course, anyone who got a mortgage gets fucked too, as their equity goes to zero. This has to be avoided at all costs.

Somebody please explain dividends to me. I just got verified for a zero fee broker, but the minimum order volume is 500€ (aka, half my fucking paycheck and 110% of my rent), and I usually only hodl buttcoin. I need the money for a Valve Index, but I want to make a quick swing trade on a dividend stock. Somebody please explain the ex date to me. Let's say I want the dividend payment for the next payout date. The next ex date for WPC (a REIT) is March 27th. I'm assuming I'm not entitled to the dividend if I buy after that, or what?
