is there a crypto that utilizes people's gpu's or cpus to render videos or 3d simulations that my toaster computer can't handle? Adobe and other companies offers something like it already but I am pretty sure a crypto out there exist right? Instead of wasting money on render farms, why not utilize the gpu's people have, pay them, and get an actual service that people and big movie companies need completed?

oops didn't mean, "instead of wasting..." meant instead of spending

if you don't render the image yourself how do you know he did the work? you could just get images of naked thots in 4k instead.

golem rlc edge

pretty old idea already and it didnt work out for any of the mentioned projects (yet?)

Look into the 21e8 project and Mark Wilcox

Edge has adoption (verifiable by visiting the websites that uses their CDN), but they don't do rendering.

golem is probably the closest to what OP mentioned, but no one uses it.
RLC is mostly fake partnerships, they can't even keep a worker pool alive, and no tasks ever.

GNT Golem

Its a good idea but what's the pay out? And why would I not just let 100 browser tabs open and a couple of steam games 24/7 instead? How's it going to affect my computer? Am I going to be profitable?
