Ok anons, here is the crypto green pill:

Nearly all websites today are hosted in one of the central data-centers of large cloud providers. This is not the most efficient design however, as things such as latency, fault-proofness and bandwidth are limited in this centralized design. On the other hand, there are billions of consumer devices (PCs, mining rigs, smartphones, routers, etc.) around that are not used 100% 24/7 and thus actually waste an enormous amount of potential just idling. It makes sense to combine both and bring content (websites, video-streams, etc.) closer to the user by running these decentralized on spare compute capacity.

One can imagine a scenario where there are billions of devices all connected on the edge and hosting websites not only faster and cheaper, but also more secure (confidential data isn't stored in one central location) and more reliable (less vulnerable to power-outages). Blockchain and crypto-currencies enable the participation of many untrusted parties in an eco-system, and several different blockchain-based projects are exploring the cloud&edge computing space.

https://edge.network is the only decentralized edge computing crypto with considerable adoption and anyone can monetize their spare compute capacity. Basically, all that is needed to do is install the software package to become an "edge host", which runs decentralized web-services (CMS, CDN, DNS) and provides storage to customers. Currently there are already over 600 hosts distributed over 100 countries and earning 5-20$ monthly worth of $EDGE on average per host from actual real revenue.

And edge hasn't even released the first product, to the main market yet - once the payment gateway is brought online in early Q2, a large awareness campaign will start to onboard crypto and non-crypto customers.

At 2M marketcap, this is a no-brainer to buy and hold - so many companies will jump on this service to show "how green" or "how decentralized" they are by hosting their websites and data on edge.

I already did the needful sirs, kindly tell when my bag will receive the mooning?

>> No.17467979

>>17467704
After opening the network to mainstream in Q2, hosts will be popping up and spreading like a virus. Each hosts locks up a stake, reducing supply and increasing buy pressure, combined with new client revenue being bought off the market and there you have your recipe for mooning.

The more hosts you have on the network, the less each individual hosts makes at the end of the month.

>>17468688
yes, it follows the laws of supply and demand. The network expands until it doesn't make economic sense for more hosts to join, then new clients join bumping up revenue again, etc.

So is the price of the token determined by the marketing efforts of a third-party?

>> No.17469034

>>17468896
The price is determined mostly by speculation for now just as any other token. Once revenue is significantly higher, the token buy-backs from the market will push the price strongly of course.

> by the marketing efforts of a third-party?
Not only marketing by the team, referral bounties for the community for getting new companies to use the edge network will be in place as well.

>> No.17469181

Nah dude companies don’t care about what they’re spending on hosting, and who do you think they choose to use as a CDN, Amazon or some Pajeet with his raspberry Pi in his basement?

Do you have more information on this? Do you have to hold a node to get the bounty?

>> No.17469335

>>17469192
No, details aren't out yet, as the paid tiers for CDN aren't released to the public yet. I don't think you need to run a node.

You can sign up to the technology partner program, and get referalls already if you're a company https://edge.network/en/get-involved/technology-partners/

weak bait

> they choose to use as a CDN, Amazon or some Pajeet with his raspberry Pi in his basement
Why would they care, they would never have to interact with said pajeet. As long as its reliable, cheaper and (in many cases) has lower latency, they will choose edge over aws.

Lmao just buy chain link, this shit has no memepower so it’s worthless

I'm more interested in making money that way then holding a node. Will keep my eye on it, thanks.

Which is better EDGE, NKN or RLC ?

>> No.17470342

RLC, it is partnered with Facebook and Intel

I like RLC a lot. Bought a bag the other day cause this crash is fake.

RLC is good but dont listen to pajeets. Facebook isnt partnered with RLC and these paid MrMonopoly shills keep trying to push it as news

>> No.17470571

I hold all three.
IExec has the best funding and market recognition but is seemingly unable to get adoption

EDGE is the only one with real adoption and a track record of running a profitable business since many years. But their marketing to the crypto crowd (hyping, “partnerships”, etc is) is pretty bad.

Nkn is just a temporary hold

EDGE has at 2M marketcap the best profit / moonshot potential

>> No.17470585

>>17470465
Facebook joining the CCC means they have an easier route to communicate with Facebook, especially cause iExec is a big player since they are the only blockchain project in it

So u went from partnered to they share same consortium where iExec is a minor partner (just look at the website). Nice try pajeet

>>17470763
the difference is edge has actual clients, who live from having good websites (magazines, news outlets, etc..) and therefore massively depend on edge's technology working well

iExec has "partnerships" which are mostly either iExec using some product of that company like Intel SGX, having one worker running on that companies cloud (IBM, Alibaba) or even worse, just being somehow partners by proxy because that company is also part of the same consortium of dozens of companies.
