Why do people buy into all these supposed "Chainlink killers?" Just to defy Link? Why do they feel such antipathy towards Link?

its better in terms of system design and the white paper was better when I read it back in 2017

chainlink focuses on integrations and verification of data
enigma focuses on computations and secret contracts

so it is really not a chainlink killer, the two projects should collaborate (and they do if you remember). So it is not a chainlink killer, nor is chainlink an enigma killer.

Every fucking Enigma thread was "Enigma > Chainlink, Enigma makes Chainlink obsolete". Now you, after calling it a "gay hype coin", equivocate with "Well actually, they're two different use cases, so why are we even arguing?"

fundamentally, chainlink is a bandaid solution, the real and true solution to everything is enigma.
but chainlink is more practical (and faster to realease their product) so in terms of oracles and data verification, it might win
but theoretically enigma is a much more "fundamental" solution
that is why guy called it a bandaid solution
he isn't wrong
i am sure someone over at betamax would call vhs a bandaid solution as well
so maybe enigma just dies because of this and chainlink ends up copying everything they did
or they could coexist and find their niches

Cope harder while your shit gets cornholed by the SEC.
Why didn't you just trust Sergey?

I did trust him on data verification/integrations, but I think that private computation is a much more interesting and problem and use case.

chainlink could be good for development of the defi space, it plays along well with other projects

enigma on the other hand completely changes our society

I just favor the vision of engima, it is much more bold and in the end I think enigma will be much more valuable than chainlink (if enigma does not die prematurely and chainlink just copies everything that enigma did)
