This time its different. You should move your stocks into treasuries, buy enough food supplies to last 6 months. If you can survive the coming pandemic, you can buy back in at the bottom

With any good market swing there are big opportunities. Mortgage rates are at a major low. Refinance your house now. Buy more real estate. Look at the population trends in your area. If people keep moving west, by land a little further west of where it is expensive

You do know that selling stocks is a taxable event?
Of course you don't. You don't even have money.
How about I keep my stocks as they are (index funds to be specific) and use new money each month to buy the dip.
In other words, I'll just stick to my investment plan and not panic sell like a hysterical woman and try to buy the bottom and hope I get lucky.

Bad advice. Doesn't account for current economic events. The fact that you don't even realize that 21.2% of US imports and 7.4% of US exports are from China, and haven't factored that in shows that you're just talking memes. Expect a 2-3% loss per month MINIMUM unless China goes back to full production. You have to realize prices for materials go up now, some companies will be BLEEDINFG cash, et cetera, et cetera. It's not all panic selling. The stock market isn't just floof and goof. There ARE and WILL BE considerable losses sustained. Cash will be frozen up, some smaller players may fall out entirely if it goes on for too long, this realistically has an exponential effect of economic movement and growth the longer that it continues. You guys already are playing emotionally by brunting actual emotions. You don't understand the markets enough so you direct your emotions to counteract reality, all due to your lack of understanding.

Meme advice should be perma banned.

Slowly buy in dips with cash. Don't have cash? You should have. With big market run ups like 2020 you should easily have 40% cash or you fucked up. Sell to get some cash. Now just buy dips. If it crashes a lot, like 30%+ starting buying leveraged ETFs and longer term calls. Diversify some in commodities and precious metals.

If you want to actually make money in a crash you could buy inverse ETFs, puts, or even play the vix. Its best to do this on recoveries when people think it might be the bottom, and then sell them on the way down to take profits. Eventually the bottom will be in and you will lose on these trades so you need to take profits. You also can't be wrong and just hold like you can when you're long. So its riskier. Better to just hold cash and buy low imo.

Yeah you'd be an idiot not to take profits right now. Even if you bought a couple weeks ago you would be up a good amount right now.
