everyone must have an intense psychedelic experience at least once in their lifetime... i had the most life changing experience this weekend with LSD... it's like I saw reality for the first time. my cat seemed like an actual intelligent agent in the world and not just some dumb animal. the night sky had visible geometry... distances were obvious and the placement of earth among them felt more real than ever before. my mind is forever changed

Psychedellics have been part of the human experience for thousands of years and religion coevolved with their use. They have almost always been used as a right of passage for many societies including the ancient Greeks with the elucinian mysteries. The modern demonization of entheogens in favor of opiates and depressants and other addictive substances is sickening. However the modern problem with their use is a lack of a solid framework to organize your thoughts within. Read Jung, Joseph Campbell, and get into zen.

Lsd is just one of many similar categories of drug. This is why I used entheogens. Peyote, psilocybin, DMT, etc. The point is they're non-addictive and used for spiritual ceremony and introspection.

>everyone must have an intense psychedelic experience at least once in their lifetime...
maybe not everyone but sure
>i had the most life changing experience this weekend with LSD...
how did it change you? are you sure it was the MOST life changing experience? You can't really be sure yet, can you? Your life hasn't changed so much, because it just happened, after all. Don't be so quick to assume
>it's like I saw reality for the first time
does that mean you're retarded? All of your experiences up until now ought have been "reality" so why are you suddenly experiencing "reality"?
>my cat seemed like an actual intelligent agent in the world and not just some dumb animal
ok what else?
>the night sky had visible geometry...
But you were too intoxicated to do any actual calculations!
>distances were obvious and the placement of earth among them felt more real than ever before.
Wow!!

>my mind is forever changed
you can experience all of these things and all of this change without drugs, but you need to address whatever you're running from when you seek intoxication

good luck anon

aleister crowley was one of the first to introduce it to the non-native societies in ~1900 but it's been used a lot longer than that

Good, welcome to the club. You’re going to want to do what you’re doing now, proselytizing to everyone to help save the world. Just don’t, use your experiences to lead a better life. Don’t talk about your philosophy, be it. The rabbit hole goes forever as well, if you ever find any “truths” understand it’s only relative
