Silver is popular because it's worth less than gold and is more stable, so it's easier for poorfags and newfags to invest in.

Silver may have the odd short term dip, but it's only going to keep increasing in worth in the long term.
The only downside with silver, and the reason so many people don't buy it, is the rate of growth is so very very slow.
