/biz/ I come to you asking for advice
>be me
>have good credit, stable job
>foolishly decide to splurge on family for Christmas because I never have
>look at statements today
>credit payment was returned due to NSF
>GO FULL PANIC MODE
>frantically try to see if I can scrape up something to pay at least the minimum
>can't

I'm freaking out because this has never happened to me before. Next paycheck comes in 15 days, am I screwed for missing this credit card payment?

advice? generally people with 'good, stable jobs' have some savings to specifically cover this kind of shit.

not much you can do other than beg borrow or steal. and your credit will get fucked if you dont.

I think you should be aiming to have at least 3 months worth of expenses saved before you splurge on anything. This should be achievable with a decent job within 6 months. If not, you need to learn to live within your means.

Borrow from family. If you just need a loan till payday, tell someone who has money that you fucked up and ask them for better rates than moneymart or whatever.
